Story
Please make sure to read the narrative below our pet's photos as you will find a description of our pet with all we know about them, our adoption fee info, and you will find the link to do our online Adoption Application which is the first step in our Adoption Process!     Please read ALL below where you will find answers about the pet, our adoption fees and how to do our adoption application!   Pet Description:  Turtle is a one-year-old male. Originally found as a stray kitten and brought to us. So why is Turtle still with us a year later?  Turtle has some chronic issues that caused constantly weeping eyes.  He was on many medications that would clear things up but as soon as the meds stopped, his eye weeping would restart.  So, the Vet switched him to an Opthalmic Eye Drop called Cidofovir .5% and it is working wonderfully - we put a drop in each eye once/day.  Now be aware - this could be a daily & lifetime need so please talk to your Vet first so you will be aware of the cost and make sure you are up to giving him his eyedrops every single day.   ADOPTION FEES:  Cats & Kittens under one year old are $50.00 but cats over a year old are 'name your adoption fee.'   All cat adoptions include......mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your kitty home with you; basic kitty immunizations (FVR-CP+Calici); de-worming; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, etc.   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email (hselco@bellsouth.net) to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe.
