Story
Nellie is a sweet but timid kitty who has been living with her foster home for three years now. She's come a long way since she came to BARS as a pregnant stray cat! Although easily spooked, she loves to chase the laser pointer, play with string, get pets from her foster mom, and snuggle with other kitties. Nellie is continuously learning how to trust people, but she will curl up by her foster mom's feet and is always hanging out in the main room, scoping out the situation and looking for a reflection to chase. She's truly a special cat and has been very low maintenance in her foster home! She would do well in a home with no dogs, children who are good with cats, and needs another kitty friend to show her the ropes.

Story
Hi! I'm Taylor, and I've been with BARS for almost 3 years!! I came into care as a young feral mama to be, and had my babies the very next day!!! Since coming into care I've learned that there are humans that can be trusted, and the best humans for me are those that will let me be me, and let me do things at my own pace. Some days I like being petted, and will sleep at my foster humans' feet most nights. Other days I'm more skittish and am happier on my own. I can still spook easily, and I don't know if I'll ever be a lap cat ( although it looks like it could be nice if I get brave enough). I'm used to being around other cats, and get on great with my doggy foster brother too! I love to play when I think no one is watching me, and I love bird and gopher watching from the cat tree too!

Story
Hello, I'm Lynx. I'm a (young) senior, but don't let that fool you. I still have plenty of love to give. I'm sweet and gentle, and while I am very shy at first, once I get to know you, I'll be your loyal companion. I'm also a smart boy, I love puzzle toys!My Hu-Mom that brought me home as a kitten all those years ago got sick and was unable to keep me so I am back with BARS for now. Since returning, I've been diagnosed with diabetes, but my foster Mom says I'm "an absolute champ" at taking my insulin injections.I absolutely love to flop over for my foster Mom and show her my white tummy, and when she sits with me I like to curl up in her lap. It took a while for me to trust that I was safe but after building trust she says I am a purrfect housemate!I don't like loud environments and while I have lived with other cats and a small dog, I would also be happy being your only best boy! I also need a home who is willing to work with my diabetes, which includes twice-daily insulin injections and scheduled feeding. If you'd like to know more about me, reach out to the BARS Feline Team! If you're looking for a calm older kitty, give me a chance and I promise, you won't regret it!

Story
Magda (Maggie) is a loving and playful girl who is almost 3 years old. She is still in search of her forever home, where she can be showered with love and care. Maggie was rescued from an outdoor colony and initially acted as a surrogate mom to other cats. However, she has now adjusted well to living indoors and enjoys watching birds from the window or catio. Maggie gets along well with other felines and loves her cat shelves. She is a lively girl who loves running and chasing toys. Although she may take a few hours or days to warm up to someone, she will shower her special person with all her heart ??, which is full of love and affection.

Story
Hi, I'm Clay a sweet 22 month old boy.At my amazing foster home, I love to breathe the fresh air and sniff the breeze in my catio, or hang out in my giant cat tree... but my absolute favourite thing to do is snuggle with my people, especially if we have fuzzy blankets to knead - I am definitely a lap cat and I'll even hold your hand while watching TV!Feather wand toys are the best because I can drag them around, jump for them and they're perfect for games of tug! Even though my foster mom says I'm a chunky boy I am super agile and amazing at bouncing around after my springs and toy mice. I have a very 'kitteny' face and am truly as sweet as I look.I am very affectionate once I get to know you. I don't mind other cats and with proper introduction will do fine.I'll do anything for cheese! My most photogenic pose is "loaf of bread", or maybe "squished against window in cat hammock" ??, and yes, my fur is as soft as it seems in my photos! My perfect forever home would be a place where I can spend my days sunbathing in a Catio, relaxing in a window seat or lounging infront of a fireplace and snuggling with my favourite people.Do you have room in your heart and home for a sweet orange couch potato?
