Story
Morticia is a beautiful ~1.5–2 year old Domestic Short Hair with a quiet, mysterious charm. Once a stray who lingered near a local school, she was humanely trapped while pregnant and brought to safety just in time to welcome and raise her kittens. Now that all of her babies have found loving homes, it’s finally Morticia’s turn.Morticia is not the kind of cat who will demand attention right away—but for the right person, that’s part of her magic. She prefers to take things at her own pace and will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Given the space and kindness she deserves, Morticia has the potential to blossom into a loyal companion in her own unique way.She may also be a wonderful candidate for a barn home, where she can enjoy a safe environment while maintaining some independence. Proper acclimation will be important to help her understand where she belongs and feel secure. If you’re someone who appreciates a more independent spirit and is willing to give Morticia the time she needs to shine, she could be the perfect addition to your life.To meet Morticia, please call the shelter to schedule an appointment: 928-636-4223, ext. 7

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Charlee, who is 4-years-old, had a very rough first year in her life. Charlee will only accept attention given with a loving light hand when she feels safe. She is shy and needs a patient adopter who can give this beautiful girl a chance to warm up and feel comfortable. She is happy to perch on a sunny window sill and watch the neighborhood bird activity, hopping down to see what interesting things you're doing. Charlee has lived with a senior cat in the past, so a low energy companion would be familiar to her. Charlee is a short hair calico who is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, is spayed and is microchipped. Our adoption fee for one altered adult cat (1 year to 7 years old) is $85 which helps cover expenses (vaccinations, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets United Animal Friends rescues. There is a discounted adoption fee for a second cat that is adopted at the same time. If you have any questions or to adopt a cat from United Animal Friends (UAF) an application must be filled out. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. From the Petfinder website (Petfinder.com) click the 'More About Us Button' and then click on the 'Adoption Application' button that will take you to the United Animal Friends website. Then follow the UAF website directions below: From the United Animal Friends website: Select "Adoptable Cats" and pick the cat you are interested in. To apply to adopt, open the cat's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. The fastest way to get to the adoptable cat page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-cats/ A United Animal Friends representative will contact you soon after receiving the application form. Story
Bootsey, born 3/5/26, is a sweet, lovable little lady. She will sit in front of you, asking to be held. Then she will purr until she falls asleep. She likes to cuddle with her sister, and they would be a good pair for someone wanting two babies. Her favorite toy is a soft little stuffed mouse. She frequently climbs the cat tower and also likes to sleep on a chair. I think she likes height. She will play hard but is mostly fairly quiet. Bootsey is a short hair black & white with cute white paws and whiskers. She is current on vaccinations, is spayed and is microchipped. Story
Basil is an extremely sweet one-year-old with a wonderful personality and a playful heart. Call his name and he’ll come running to greet you. A genuine lap cat, Basil would prefer a relaxed household without small children or many other pets where he will receive an abundance of attention, and not be overwhelmed in an environment that is too chaotic. Basil enjoys other cats and would do well in a home where he has a feline buddy. He is very gentle when playing with kittens and often takes on the role of big brother. Very friendly, Basil is active and funny. If you’re searching for a devoted and affectionate companion, he might just be your perfect match. Basil is a domestic shorthair with beautiful black and white markings. He is current on vaccinations, is neutered and is microchipped.
