Ritz is a very playful fun loving cat. She adores toys and chasing lasers. If you want a very cuddly fur buddy look no further. Ritz is quite good with kids. She plays wonderfully with our son. We are looking for a new home that can be less stressful on her and someone that can give her all of the love that is possible.

Story
Meet Marcel and Walter — the ultimate bromance duo of the cat world! These two handsome gents, just over a year old, were raised by AWL as kittens and recently returned through no fault of their own—just an unfortunate moving situation. Marcel, a striking Siamese tabby, is the definition of cool, calm, and collected. His motto? “Why stress when you can nap?” Walter, his silver tabby sidekick, matches that chill energy perfectly—equally handsome, equally mellow, and equally devoted to his best buddy. They’ve been together their whole lives and would love to keep it that way. Adopt this bonded pair, and you’ll double your charm, double your purrs, and double your relaxation—because life’s better with two laid-back, loving cats by your side. You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.November 16, 2025, 6:29 am

Story
Toby is a handsome orange tabby just waiting to find his perfect home—preferably one that appreciates how effortlessly adorable he is. Found outside with his sister, he may seem a little reserved at first, but he warms up quickly… especially if you sound like someone who knows where the treats are. He likes to pretend he’s a brave wilderness explorer, but really he’s a big softie who wants a safe lap, a cozy nap spot, and someone to admire his sun-polished orange coat. Toby would be happiest in a quiet home with another young pet companion to help boost his confidence—and join him in a little mischief along the way.You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.November 17, 2025, 6:36 am

Story
Say hello to Sundance, the orange-and-white heartthrob of the litter, named after one of Robert Redford’s most iconic roles. He’s got that leading-man energy—bold, charming, and always ready for a new adventure. Sundance has also been completely surrounded by female kittens, and he handles it like a pro—good-natured, playful, and always in the middle of the fun. Energetic and social, he loves to play, chase, and explore, then flop into a happy heap of purrs when he’s done. This friendly boy would love to be adopted with a sibling or into a home with another young feline friend to match his zest for life. You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.November 21, 2025, 6:25 am

Story
Coral looks like she tiptoed out of a storybook—petite, gentle, and wrapped in a patchwork of soft browns, creams, and ginger. She’s incredibly sweet and affectionate, and we honestly don’t know why she hasn’t been adopted yet! She gets along with other cats. She has Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome, which gives her raspy, noisy breathing—but it doesn’t slow her down or dampen her spirit. Her purrs may sound different, but they’re full of love. Our vet has advised that she can live a happy life...just a bit noisy! Coral is ready for a forever home that celebrates her quirks and showers her with care. She’s a little noisy, a lot lovable, and absolutely unforgettable. You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.December 2, 2025, 5:22 am

Story
Meet Frank — a five-year-old tabby gentleman who knows exactly what he likes: good food, gentle pets, and a daily brushing session to keep his handsome stripes looking sharp. Originally adopted from AWL three years ago, Frank recently returned through no fault of his own—his owner was moving and couldn’t take him along. Frank’s taking it all in stride and proving that a little pampering goes a long way. Sweet, easygoing, and full of affection, Frank still has plenty of love to give—and he’s especially excited for his best buddy Creed to join him at the shelter soon. These two have been pals for years and share a special bond, so keep an eye out for Creed’s arrival if you’re considering adopting a charming pair of feline friends. You can apply on line at www.hsvawl.org by completing the Adoption Application on the home page.December 7, 2025, 11:58 pm
