Story
Angus is a 5 year old cat who is looking for a patient and understanding home. Angus is a bit shy and unsure of life, but he does have a soft spot for being petted once he trusts you. He just needs some time and gentle encouragement to come out of his shell and show you his sweet personality. He prefers to sleep most of the day and be left to his own business, but he may blossom into the best cat ever in a home where he feels safe and loved. He is not a fan of loud noises or sudden movements, so he would do best in a calm and quiet environment. He is a handsome and charming boy who deserves a chance to find happiness.

Sawyer was recently rescued from an outdoor life. He presumably was abandoned to fend for himself! THIS BOY is just the sweetest, a real lap cat who would be a wonderful companion for an older person or just about anyone! Prefers to be an only cat, as he seeks all of your attention! Very healthy, FIV+, but can live a normal life, as he is asymptomatic. Likely 3-5 years old. Needs a loving, stable indoor home where he can stay safe and secure! Total lovebug/lap kitty!

She was so sick and defeated when we rescued her in February 2021. She was terrified and had to be trapped. Once she came home with me, she was enjoying affection by the next day and I was able to immediately medicate her for the next 10 days. Mona Lisa is a sweet and trusting little girl. Story
ABOUT MORNING Morning is about 5 years old and came to HAP when his owners could no longer keep him. Understandably, after living in a home, he had some reservations and nerves in the shelter. Morning has since opened up to our staff, proving to be the snuggliest boy. He craves attention and affection from his human friends now. When he's not curled up in his cozy bed, he can usually be found exploring our playroom and watching the birds. Morning usually prefers self-play and enjoys his 'me time'. He loves to bat around puff balls or shiny toys the most. Morning is sure to let you know when he wants something, with a sweet meow. He has met other cats and does not have a lot of patience for them, so a home without other cats is preferable. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
