Story
If you are looking for a low-maintenance cat, then Gracie is your ideal cat. She requires minimal attention. She occasionally naps close to her foster's elderly, sedentary cocker spaniel. Gracie will sleep with you once she feels at home. She requires an adopter who will understand that she will not be friendly right away. When Gracie's owner was forced to move out of her house, Gracie was left homeless. She and a few other cats, including Honey, were surrendered to us. Every other cat was adopted or relocated to a sanctuary.November 21, 2024, 3:05 pm

Story
Sweet and playful, Smitty enjoys being cuddled like a baby. He'll let you trim his nails. When he warms up to you, he becomes your friend for life. When you walk, he likes to rub up against you. He makes a fantastic kitty companion. He gets along well with other cats and dogs. Back in August he was trapped as a tiny, terrified three month old kitten who had no idea what love or having a home was. After spending a few weeks in a temporary foster home he began to play with toys and to like people.November 21, 2024, 12:52 pm

Story
Honey is a very sweet cat who has a sassy side and likes playing with a wand toy. She would enjoy going to a home with access to a catio. When Honey's owner was unable to take all of her cats with her when she had to move out of her house, Honey was left homeless. She and a few other cats, including Gracie, were surrendered to us. Every other cat was adopted or relocated to a sanctuary. Honey would prefer a home without dogs and only one or two other cats that will allow her to be queen. Honey occasionally has a leaky eye which the vet determined is from herpes virus. To help with that, she gets lysine in her meals as needed.November 20, 2024, 6:47 pm

Story
Sable is a sweetheart who likes to play with wand toys. She prefers to eat mostly wet food. Sable's story- Three years ago, Sable was saved from living beneath a dumpster behind a scrap metal yard. After two years and not being able to find her a home her rescuer could no longer provide the care she required. Steroids she was taking for stomatitis had stopped working. After raising the necessary funds she had all her teeth removed which has made such a positive difference. For over a year Sable has been in foster waiting for her forever home. Unfortunately, the other cats in the foster home frequently bully her. Sable has asthma but don't allow that to prevent you from adopting her. It is easily managed by giving her medication in a treat once a day which she easily takes. She requires a home that is peaceful, smoke-free, and fragrance-free to prevents flareups. Please think about welcoming this lovely girl who has endured so much into your heart and home.November 20, 2024, 7:55 pm

Story
Whiskers is a very affectionate cat who needs a peaceful, quiet home. When she feels comfortable, she is friendly. Whiskers likes to have a place to hide. She is curious about other cats. Will you give this sweet girl the opportunity to find a loving home? Whiskers had been in several foster homes before returning to the shelter when her most recent foster home was unable to care for her. After becoming stressed in the shelter, Whiskers was returned to her caregiver. Her caretaker posted on FB searching for someone to take her in because she didn't want to put her back outside. We saw the post and offered to take her. Whiskers is a little wobbly due to damage from ruptured eardrums that have since healed, but she still gets around like other cats, just a little more slowly. When she initially got to the city shelter in May 2023, she was a wobbly, uncoordinated stray.November 20, 2024, 7:55 pm
