Story
Tuxedo is a kitty with a bobbed tail. He is joyful and energetic. Tuxedo is neutered and has received his Rabies and Distemper vaccine. He loves to play with his siblings and knows how to use the litter box. He enjoys playing with noisy toys.  Dear Potential Adopter: YOUCANMAKEADIFFERENCE, INC is the result of one person’s dream. The same person who works to cover all the expenses associated with the organization cares for the rescues, completes all paperwork to keep the organization legal, and interacts with you. This usually involves working + 100 hours a week. The reason for this is because I care for the animals I rescue. I have tried securing volunteers to help with clerical and other related jobs with no success. Some people work for one day and never respond to our follow-up calls again. This has been the case for more than 10 years. I share this with you in the event that I don’t promptly respond to your email, text, or any other communication. I do try to respond to each and every communication directed to the organization about one of our dogs and 99 % of the time I do. I also try to keep potential adopters whose homes we have visited to ascertain if they are a good match for the dog they're interested in, informed of our final decision, this may not happen as fast as you may want but it does happen. The only thing we ask from you is to be understanding and patient, remember this is a “one woman” organization! It is our mission to be the voice for the voiceless. Each dog, cat, or horse that we adopt out has been promised a second chance for happiness and security. We take this promise very seriously. We evaluate two applicants at a time. If neither proves to be a good fit, we move on to the second set of 2 applicants each potential adopter is asked to complete a PRE-ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE. Following receipt of this document we proceed to schedule what we have come to call a “meet & greet”.  We travel up to 1.5 hours from our location to bring the pet to your home which allows you to see him/her in a secure environment without external distractions. It also allows us to observe the environment where the dog/cat will live and make sure that it provides all the required security to prevent as much as possible any accident. Given the extraordinary circumstances our country is experiencing we have now also instituted what we call "virtual home visits". Using technology for "good", we visit your household using a free app called Google Duo. You can install it for free on your smartphone and will allow us to have a "face-to-face" conversation as well as it will allow us to take a peek at your yard. This allows you to see the dog you are interested in, and us to evaluate your fenced-in-yard. After the meet and greet if you are still interested in our companion dog or cat, and If this is the pet for you we will proceed to complete the formal ADOPTION CONTRACT and collect the total adoption fee of $275.00 for dogs and $85.00 for cats. We remind every potential adopter that even under the best circumstance any animal brought into the house involves a financial investment. They need to be feed, provided with monthly flea preventatives and any other recommended medication, once a year at least they need to see a veterinarian for evaluation, as well as for the administration of any required vaccination. As with humans, animals do get sick and may require to see a veterinarian, it is strongly recommended that you establish an emergency fund for these occasions and/or secure PET INSURANCE to address those extraordinary circumstances. We ask all of our potential adopters to read our adoption contract beforehand and welcome as many questions as you may have after reading it. Out-of-state applications are no longer accepted. Again, thanks for your interest in one of our adoptable furry babies. This is the link to the Pre-Adoption Questionnaire, https://form.123formbuilder.com/5235602///please complete and returns to us. If you have any questions or concerns please call me at 850-270-8793, this is my direct line and if I happen to be busy your call on average will be returned within 2 hours. Have a great day! ##1176344##

Story
Say hello to Posey — an 11-month-old sweetheart with a heart of gold and a spirit of steel. When she was rescued, Posey was dangerously underweight yet still managed to keep all four of her kittens alive. Her strength and resilience are nothing short of incredible, and, with all of her babies having left the rescue by now, it’s finally her turn to be cared for and cherished. Posey is an easygoing, independent girl who loves the simple joys in life: cozy nights in, gentle head scratches, and the occasional belly rub. She’s also great at entertaining herself with toys (bonus points if they’re filled with catnip!) but will happily curl up under the covers with you for movie night. She gets along wonderfully with other pets and adores being around people, making her the perfect fit for almost any household. Not too wild but still curious and playful, Posey strikes that perfect balance between snuggly companion and independent kitty. Whether you’re home often or away for work, she’ll adapt beautifully and bring warmth, fun, and love into your life. Posey is ready to make your home her forever home — and once you meet her, you’ll see just how special she truly is. 😸💚 Is Posey the purrfect girl for you? Apply to adopt her today!
