A stray family found us after the hurricane. The momma had kittens and we were able to locate some homes on Facebook. There are still 4 around and momma appears to be pregnant again. We really need them to have a loving home as we cannot continue to support them.

Story
This old fella is Moe. He is roughly 14 years old and is a tuxedo cat with a mustache or “Moe-stache” as we like to say. I am fostering him for a friend whose family adopted him when he was a kitten. Sadly the rest of her family has passed and she is severely allergic. I will be traveling for work in the future and can’t keep him long term. Moe mostly just likes to lay around and snuggle. He is very food motivated and likes to take short walks outside every so often. I was there when they first brought him home and love him very much. It’s important to us that he is well cared for and loved. Moe has moved with the family a couple of times where there was always guests over. He adjusts to new environments and people quickly. He can be very affectionate and will happily talk back and forth with anyone.

Story
Introducing Beans!A handsome and affectionate neutered male kitty who is in need of a special home. Beans has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but don't let that discourage you. With the right care and understanding, Beans can still live a happy and fulfilling life.FIV is a virus that affects a cat's immune system, making them more susceptible to infections. However, it's important to note that FIV cannot be transmitted to humans or other non-feline animals. Cats with FIV can live long and healthy lives with proper care and attention.Beans is a playful and loving soul who deserves a chance at a forever home. Despite his diagnosis, he is still full of energy and affection. He loves to play, snuggle, and be showered with love and attention. Bean's positive attitude and zest for life are truly inspiring. We are searching for a compassionate and knowledgeable adopter who understands the unique needs of an FIV-positive cat. Beans should be the only cat in the household or live with other FIV-positive cats, as the virus can be transmitted through deep bite wounds. With proper veterinary care, a balanced diet, and a stress-free environment, Beans can lead a happy and comfortable life.By adopting Beans, you will not only provide him with a loving home but also become an advocate for FIV-positive cats. Educating others about the condition and breaking the stigma surrounding FIV is crucial in helping these wonderful feline companions find the homes they deserve.ADOPTION PROCESS: The adoption process is simple and straight forward.Pre-Screening Adoption Application here: https://tinyurl.com/adoptfromHSCCOur receptionists can usually approve/dis-approve your application same day.
