Amid arctic temperatures and feet of fresh snow, one of Whiskers TNRs longtime supporters spotted an incredible sight: a cat shed never seen before trying to take shelter under her shed. Cecilia, as shes been dubbed since, was strikingly beautiful but clearly had a severe injury on her tail. But, as it turned out, Cecilia had even bigger challenges. Upon veterinary exam, it was determined that this girl is mostly blind and deaf, says her foster dad. The injured part of her tail has been amputated and she is happy and healthy recovering in the Whiskers building. Cecilia, whose name means blind, is a very quiet, sweet girl, he added. She loves to get pets but seems to be always be on guard. Even still, shes a standout with her gorgeous lynx point markings and stunning blue eyes. Her foster dad thinks she would shine even more in a quiet home where she could gradually settle in maybe even with a feline friend to show her the ropes.
