Domestic Shorthair kittens & cats in Waterloo, Iowa

My story: I was lost or abandoned in the cold winter near the south side of Waterloo. I couldn’t fend for myself very well, despite palling around with other community cats. I sought help from some kind humans, and under their care, I have bloomed into a healthy, outgoing pet. Even though I am a little shy at first, I will melt into a purring muffin if you pet me or scratch my ears. My ideal forever home would keep me warm and fed, offer toys, and above all, provide lots of petting. I would be open to a home with other pets, provided the gradual introduction steps any pet-pet introduction should entail. About me: 12-18 m.o. spayed female DSH Litter trained (perfect record!) She is a sweet loving cat. She loves to be petted. She also likes to stare outside the window at the birds when the weather is nice and takes a lot of cat naps. She just turned 6 years old. She gets along with my 2 Chihuahua dogs.

Fletcher is very shy and skittish. He would need to go to a home with a cat that he knows.He was part of a Johnson Ave mobile home court TNR project. He was too young to rerelease.Indoor homes only unless the cat is part of our barn cat program. He will make a terrific companion for a cat savvy adult who understands cats that enjoy their space yet seek out affection on their own terms. Jerry spent some time living in our office as the office assistant! He was an excellent watch cat and kept everyone on track but had since retired and is living life watching (or napping) everyone work from atop the kennels! Jerry will love a home with lots of windows to enjoy and a cat tower or even a cozy cardboard box that he can hunker down in and nap the day away in.  Jerry loves to get out and explore at our adoption center! Jerry also loves a great scratching post, we find that he enjoys cardboard kitty scratchers the most.
