Johnny Cash (JC) and June (Junie) - 2 Sweet Young Tux Kitties for Adoption ! Email dcmcats@yahoo.com Johnny Cash (JC) and June (Junie) are two sweet young cats that were rescued from a cat colony being spayed and neutered. They are sweet and loving with their foster mom who rescued them and love other cats too. They were both born sometime in mid-Jan., but JC is twice the size of his sister June. JC has more black on his face and June has a white nose. They are both adorable black & white Tuxedos and are super cute! JC is a goofy kitty who plays his butt off! Junie is more serious and enjoys the activity of watching her big brother play! They love being together and cry when separated but they also love to hang out with the big cat babysitters in the household. One of the other foster cats Harry who is shy with people, loves on them and washes them like a mama cat and they love hanging out with him as their surrogate mama cat. We would love Johnny Cash and June to be adopted together if possible, but are open to inquiries if you can only adopt one of them. They love other cats, so if adopting either JC or June, another buddy cat would be best or in a multi cat household with other playful mellow cats. They be scared and hide at first, so need someone to adopt who would work with them and be patient while they acclimate to a new household. Samantha - Sweet Mostly White Tabby Cat for Adoption Contact e-mail dcmcats@yahoo.com Samantha is a mostly white kitty whose owner passed away last year. She is a chatty cat and a serious lover! A family member took her in, but had to move out of state for work and the house was being renovated, so a friend took her in. Sadly, the other cats in the new household don’t want to accept her. She is friendly and wants to come out to join the household, but they just won’t have it! At first, she will seek out a quiet space if other pets are around, but after awhile she wants to be an active part of the household. She would be fine being the only cat, but has lived in a household with dogs and other cats. Samantha really had a rough start in life. She was homeless and sought help from a friendly human. She just walked up to the lady’s brother at his job about 10 yrs. ago, crying for help. She had mange, a broken tail, and was pregnant. Poor baby is such a sweetheart too! Unfortunately, her original rescuer passed away as well. She was fixed and ear tipped at that time even though she has been an inside kitty ever since then. She may have a little nerve damage around her tail due to the old injury, but it does not affect her mobility in any way. Samantha was brought for a vet check recently and received updated shots and is in excellent health. Her health records are available. She is located in Metairie in the New Orleans Area but can be transported locally. Foxy - an Amazing Cute Tabby Cat ! Contact: dcmcats@yahoo.com Foxy is a sweet boy! He enjoys being pet and is interactive and playful with people. He can be picked up and held. He enjoys tier toys with balls and loves catnip! He loves to be held and absolutely loves any and all attention. He can however sometimes get upset if you ignore his requests and grab onto you, LOL! But he is full of personality and given the choice of one or the other, he would rather play with toys and be pet, held and played with, then even eat his dinner. He just needs some working with, so we are hoping for someone who will be patient with him to work out his little quirks, and give him time to settle in and get to know you and your household. But he is such an amazing cat. He is very personable, so is more like a roommate than just a pet. He definitely gives a sense of presence. Foxy showed up about 3 years ago in a feral cat colony in a commercial location in Kenner, but he is not a feral. Last year, he was badly hurt and it appeared he had been hit by a car! He had road burn rash down his back and a huge gash on his front leg. His leg was double the normal size! Besides the severe road rash, his claws were filed down to the quick, his bottom tooth had punctured his top lip and had to be stitched closed, and both of his front legs are severely infected and the gashes had to be stitched closed. His caretaker rushed him to the vet! Miraculously nothing was broken. He recuperated well in just a few weeks and has since put on some healthy weight. He is still a small cat and has blossomed into a handsome boy with a beautiful coat. He enjoys companionship so it is sad that he is once again living with the feral colony. He likes other cats but he is so deserving of a home and a special person or people. We would like him to be an inside cat or if there was an opportunity for him to have access to a safe enclosed yard or an attached enclosure where he can go inside and out safely. But he would be happy with a nice window with a good view and his special person(s) to give him love. A quiet home but where his people or person gives him a lot of attention when he asks.
