In 2017, at the age of around 5 years old, Max joined his new family as an indoor cat. Over the past 7 years, Max has been introduced to other pets within the household, such as dogs of various age, size, and sex, and one young, male indoor cat. He has been happy with dogs and male cats, he seems to hate female cats in particular. He does not show interest in males, stray or owned. If he sees/smells a female cat (intact/spayed, stray/owned) he would attempt to attack them. When Max's family moved to Reno, the already established female cat was living there and his family followed the appropriate steps to introduce the established female and Max, but he will not get along with her after 6 months. It's not fair to have to lock him away during certain hours of the day. Max is a very sweet, vocal, loving, and cuddly cat and his family is torn with needing to rehome him. Please help us find his forever family where he can be his happy, cuddly self.
