Story
Hemingway came to us at the approx age of 4 months together with 3 siblings but very feral. Once they got spayed and neutered two of his sisters became barn cats, his other sister was adopted and Hemingway is still with us. He is the sweetest and most easy going cat ever. He is laid back and in the bottom half of the pecking order. He likes to sleep in my bed, comes occasionally to say hello, and also likes to go outside (which is not a requirement for his new home). Our house here at the Rescue Ranch is a busy house with lots of dogs and cats and Hemingway prefers it a bit quieter which is the reason why he is mostly hanging back. He would love to get out of here to have someone who can give him a bit more attention though! His coat is very silky and he has gorgeous green eyes. Hemingway is a little shy when first meeting new people.

Story
Pauli was born here at the rescue 3 days after his mom got dropped off, and is the last remaining kitten. Pauli is a very easy going and easy care kitty who's finally been calmed down from being a typical active kitten into a young and distinguished adult boy. He loves to snuggle at night or in a chair for a nap and is quite affectionate although more on his term. He's not too keen on being picked up to be carried around. He's litter box trained on both clumping litter as well as horse bedding pellets. Pauli is pretty easy to please with food, both wet and dry. Pauli is a little shy with strangers but after he warms up he is an affectionate and loyal boy. He is an indoor/outdoor cat although in winter he hardly ever goes outside and if he does then it's only for a very brief moment. In summer he loves spending time outside more than staying inside. However he is adaptable to being an indoors only cat. Pauli is up to date on shots.

Story
Lucy came to us in pain, dragging her back half due to a broken pelvis and fracture in her tail very close to her spine. She sustained nerve damage and was unable to go to the bathroom on her own. She has since recovered and has very manageable health issues as a result, the staff is happy to discuss with you!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Amber and her kitten were strays trapped during a very frigid November. After years of acting like a feral cat in her foster home, she now asks for petting! It has to be done right and on her terms or she will shy away, but she can be very vocal and demand it! She has asthma that is well controlled, but can flare up rarely. She is good with other cats and dogs.

Semi-Feral Indoor Cat. His ideal forever home would be a big-hearted person that just wants to take care of him and not expect much of a companion.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Atticus came to us from a fairly large community of cats. He is definitely a reserved personality, but once he relaxes he is quite the lover boy. This sweet man will give you endless nose boops and curl his tail around your hand! Atticus would love nothing more than a calm companion to snuggle his days away with. He has been neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped! He is FIV+, but otherwise healthy and has the potential to live a very long life. Contact SHHS to set up a meet this snuggly guy!
