Story
*Long resident spotlight*Lilly came to us in July of 2022 after her beloved owner passed away, this of course was very hard on Lilly as she was very attached to her owner. During Lilly's stay here it was discovered that she has the beginning stages of kidney disease. Lilly was prescribed a kidney care diet and has done very well on it. Her kidney disease is managed with her diet, but we of course recommend regular vet visits as with any animal. Lilly is a very special kitty with a big personality. She likes to be pet and receive attention on her own terms. What can we say....she is a girl that knows what she wants! Lilly will let you know that she has had enough attention by pawing at you. Lilly does not do this to be mean, she does it as a way of communication that she has had enough attention and is getting over stimulated. We always say Lilly is a sweetheart with a "side of spice", and due to that she would be best suited in a home with no small children. Lilly also cannot be placed in a home with other animals as they stress her out.....again, she is a girl that knows what she wants! She prefers to be the feline queen! Lilly would do best in a quiet/relaxed home that she can enjoy her days lounging around. Lilly truly is a good cat and we do believe Lilly would flourish in a home environment. If interested in adopting Lilly please submit an adoption application to us. Applications can be found on our website, here at the shelter, or they can be requested through email. We introduce you to Juanita! Juanita is one of our hallway cats here at the shelter. She has the job of greeting visitors and making them feel welcome. Despite, all of her hard work, she has yet to receive a single adoption inquiry during her stay. Juanita is hoping that her luck will change and someone will fall in love with her (it's easy to do as she is a total lovebug). Are you looking for a loyal & true feline friend? Look no further than Juanita! Juanita is a very social, loving & loyal girl who would love nothing more than to go home with you! Juanita is the true definition of a "shadow" cat-meaning she loves to follow you & be with you. She truly is a gem and would make the purrrfect addition to any household looking to add a feline friend. Juanita is easily one of the friendliest & sweetest kitties we have here! Stop by any day from 12-4pm to meet her!Adoption applications can be found here at the shelter, on our website, or you can email us for one.Email: spcaallegany@gmail.comWebsite: www.spcaallegany.orgPhone: 585-593-2200 EX 2

Story
I'm Jolly....and you have probably seen my face before, as I have had a few "pawsonal ads" to try to help get me adopted. I am not giving up hope and I know that someday I will be adopted by a very amazing person. That day will be the best day of my life. I came into the shelter as a stray in November of 2022 and I have not had any inquiries during my stay here. I often get overlooked and I am not sure why! It makes me sad that I get overlooked because I am a very sweet girl and once I get to know you I become a "lap cat". I am also very laid back with a playful side.....I LOVE FEATHER TOYS! I am also extremely loyal and love human interaction. If you are looking for a loyal & loving feline companion I am that cat!Could you make my dream of being adopted come true? About Jolly:Jolly would be fine in a home with other laid back/respectful cats, but she would also be fine as the only cat in the home. Jolly requires a home without dogs. Jolly seems to love people of any age. Please stop by the shelter any day from 12-4pm to meet Jolly, she sure would love to see you! Adoption applications can be found here at the shelter, on our website, or you can email us for one. Email: spcaallegany@gmail.comWebsite: www.spcaallegany.orgPhone: 585-593-2200 EX 2

Story
I'm JR, and despite my captivating appearance and beautiful heart, I haven't garnered any interest throughout my full year at the shelter. I arrived at the SPCA as a cruelty case in December 2022. Since then, each passing moment has been filled with a persistent longing for the day that I'll find my way into a loving family. Although my heart now bears a tinge a sadness as my dream of being adopted hasn't materialized yet, I refuse to give up hope. And so, I continue to wait for that special someone who will love me for the gentle, wise, zen, and sweet being that I am. I continue to wait for the warmth of a real home. If you would like to be the angel of a human to adopt me, please contact the shelter or stop in in person to apply. I am willing to bet that we're a match made in heaven and I cannot wait to meet you.JR finds a tremendous amount of happiness and comfort in other cats and would be best suited for a home with another feline. JR would also love a home on the quiet side without any dogs.

Story
I'm Sprite, and after months of waiting at the shelter, I am running out of hope that I will ever find my soulmate. I arrived as a cruelty case, and despite being safe and receiving lots of TLC from my caretakers, I've had the hardest time finding confidence in myself here. All of the activity and new faces surrounding me make me want to hide away.I'm searching for someone who will provide me with familiarity, security, and comfort. Someone who will be kind and patient with me as I come out of my shell. Because even though I'm still learning to trust and feel a bit skittish, the truth is that there is nothing I long for more than a best friend.Could you be the angel of a person I've been searching for? Please contact the shelter and/or submit an application to apply for me. I cannot to start living my best life with you by my side.Sprite is a boy who would prefer to live in a quieter home. He gets along well with cats and can be dog-tested upon request.Email: spcaallegany@gmail.comWebsite: spcaallegany.orgPhone: 1 (585) 593 - 2200 Ex. 2
