Story
Hi, I’m Lucy! I’m about 11 or 12 years (we aren’t sure) I recently lost my human parents and have had to go live with my mom’s sister. Her cat and I do not get along and living here isn’t working out and now we are all stressed out. It was important to my mom that I be taken care and although they try I think I would be happier if I could be somewhere where I am the only cat. I have diabetes, so I require a couple shots a day, but I take them well and do not complain too much. We have almost gotten it under control, but sometimes I steal treats from the other cat or get into her food. I like to sleep and am not very loud. Affectionate and still likes to play, likes catnip.

Story
Minny is 10 years old. I got him and his brother, Tibbers, in 2014. He is usually skittish at first, but after a little while he's very loving and playful. He loves to be brushed and is an active participant during brush time! He will rub his face against the brush while purring. He loves to play with tinkle balls and feathers. He's very vocal and will let you know when he wants some love and attention. He and Tibbers get along very well. Sometimes they will still groom each other which is really sweet. They are from the same litter and have always been together so they need to stay together. I am hoping to find a home for them that is quiet and stable. We've had to move around a lot and there's been inconsistency with housemates and other animals. They deserve to have a forever home where they are the stars of the show and don't have to compete for attention. Tibbers & Minny must go to the same home.

Story
Mabel is an adult, spayed female cat, probably born 2016 or 2017.   She arrived with 2 male cats that may have been her sons.  She wouldn't tell us.  Mabel has revealed a nurturing, motherly side to her personality.  She would snuggle scared new kitties and help them become confident. Update 2: Mabel went to a foster home to see if she likes house - living (and maybe a little heart-stealing as well).  She's adapted really well to being a spoiled little house mother.April 12, 2024, 7:44 pm

Story
Indi is an adult, neutered male cat, at least 10 years old.  He was living in an outdoor colony until recently, but had been TNR'd in the past.  He had an injured leg and very bad teeth, but he had a dental and feels much better.  He has decided to become a shelter kitty and would very much like to graduate to an adopted kitty.  Indi is quite confident in his room.  He owns the window ledge and loves to watch birds, squirrels, and leaves.  He accepts petting, although it's not something he seeks out and he will ask us to stop if we pet him for too long.  Indi will be happiest in a quiet home where he can enjoy his solitude, but still have human company and a measure of affection.  He is probably not a great match for a family with small children, but who knows ...once he gets his dental, he may be a totally different cat! Indi took his retirement on the road to a foster home and he is loving being a household kitty.  He loves his foster home, but he's still open minded about being adopted!!April 12, 2024, 7:44 pm

Story
Tink is an adult, spayed female cat, probably born fall 2020.  Tink is a little tripod kitty.  She arrived with a traumatic injury to her right front paw, possibly from a trap and the injury was infected.  Because of the damage and infection, the vets amputated the leg and she has spent several months in a loving foster home.  Tink is quiet and shy, and likes to hide in a turtle (upside down bed), but if we are very careful and put our arms around her, she will relax and even purr a tiny, tiny bit.  She likes to be groomed around her ears and head (gentle fingers or cheeks against her, not a brush) and will push her head up a tiny amount.   One of the younger cats in the room licked her head and ears and Tink quite liked that.  We expect that Tink will come out of her shell as she gets used to the colony life, but she will always be a quiet, librarian-type of kitty, not a party girl.April 12, 2024, 7:44 pm

Story
Cinder is an adult, spayed female cat, probably born in 2020.  She arrived with kittens, Aspen, Rowan, Flint, and Wren.  H  She's still quite low-key and watchful, but accepts other cats as long as they are nice.  She's easy to pet and has been quite kind to another cat who is scared in the room.  They will lean on each other or stay on close shelves with Cinder out front being the brave one.  She could be a really nice family kitty with or without gentle cat friends. Cinder is taking a break from the shelter to hang with a foster family, but if you are interested in her, she can visit for an appointment.April 12, 2024, 7:44 pm

Story
I am Scaredy cat. When I was younger I didn't like showing myself a lot. (Hence the name) I don't mind what you call me as long as I get pets. I am vocal and like meowing at you to pet me more when I get used to you. I think I have special needs because I am extremely chonky, have a hard time focusing and remembering, I don't know my own strength sometimes and I am clumsy. I will fall off your lap if you let me and then I will do it again and again. I am not neutered so I have to be separate from my sisters and my parents don't have the money to fix me and let me join the household. I am in a separate room bored and want some love. He is very sweet and I feel really bad that due to health issues and financial issues that I haven't had the money to fix him. He is chonky and has a lot of muscle as well. I want him to be happy and loved.

Story
This pretty McTabby girl originally arrived in May 2021 with 8 newborn kittens and wanted nothing to do with us loud humans. Now she seeks out loves and is so eager to play with toys, especially the wand toy! All she is waiting for is a forever home! Nadya will need a home that is willing to allow her space and time to become comfortable at her own pace. She will likely hide at first, as she did at the beginning of her stay in her foster home, but after about a week she started making short appearances in the presence of her human staff. Now several weeks into her stay, Nadya is interacting with her foster mom via wand toy play time, snuggling her feet and rolling around on a favorite blanket! Next up is lap time! Story
Aster (3 yrs.) & Pansy (2 yrs.) are looking for a foster or forever home that will give them time to move at their own pace! This mom and daughter duo arrived at the shelter in Sept. 2021; they can be shy at first and may hide; however, if you give them the proper environment and time, they will come and check you out! Pansy especially loves to play with wand toys, and both respond to yummy food and treats for motivation! If you want to learn more, fill out an app online for starters! www.marshmallowfoundation.org

Story
Blitzen was adopted and returned after he got into some mischief. He is a loving, playful cat. But don't let his nuzzles and purring fool you. At his previous home, he got into some trouble. He had to have surgery to have a foreign body removed and he's been doing great ever since. He has bounced back with no problems. even though he may require a close eye being kept on him, he is a bundle of fun and love waiting to be yours!

Story
Hello! My name is Itty Bitty! I am a pretty 5 year old girl who looves to play, and tell you all about my day! And give you my opinion about yours. This young lady is a playful, gregarious and loyal cuddler. She is independent, but will greet you at the door asking for pets. She likes to cuddle, make biscuits on your lap and puuuur, when it's her idea, of course 😂 She is an indoor cat, but regularly enjoys trying to escape outside when the door is opened in front of her. She loves to play, chasing and jumping after toys like an athlete. As mentioned, she does like to share her thoughts and feelings regularly. In addition to meows, you will hear cute little chirps and trills from her as well. She would do best in a home with older children or adults. Thank you!

Story
This is a very interesting cat. I was only supposed to have her for a week but the owner abandoned her and told me to just take her to the pound. I can't do that to her though. Allow me to walk you through Kaya, I've handled a lot of cats but she has been the most unique, she is very sensitive though and she uses her teeth more than her claws. She plays with cats but she gets a little rough and other cats don't seem to like it. If she runs out of water, she will not hesitate to go to the toilet. She headbutt, and snuggles faces.
