Story
Please reference www.DefensaAnimalDePuertoRico.org/Adopt  to learn how adoptions work with Defensa & Rescuers.  Rosita recently showed up, pregnant, in a colony of stray cats being cared for by a nice couple in the neighborhood. After giving birth to a litter of kittens, Rosita is now spayed and vaccinated and looking for a loving home! (She is also FIV-negative and leukemia-negative.) Rosita's foster mom says, "She is a very loving kitty and loves being pet. She purrs very loudly and pushes her head towards my hand for more pets. She is very interactive with her babies and talks to them, plays with them, and cleans them constantly. The babies also need homes, in case anyone is interested in Rosita with any babies." For adoption inquiries, please contact Ines at irogachevsky@hotmail.com or 787-604-5211. Story
Please reference www.DefensaAnimalDePuertoRico.org/Adopt  to learn how adoptions work with Defensa & Rescuers.  Tevi, Itsy, Oscar, and Odine were born on the streets to a sweet cat named Rosita (also available for adoption!). A nice couple who feeds the stray cats in the neighborhood would LOVE to get this feline family into loving homes. As well as caring for the neighborhood cats, the couple also has seven rescue cats of their own, and doesn't have the resources to take in more. The kittens were living in a dangerous situation, in a trash pile near the road. Their rescuer found a place for them in an uninhabited structure, but they are in desperate need of forever homes. The kittens are fully vaccinated, dewormed, and have an appointment for sterilization (the boys will be neutered on July 27 and the girls spayed on August 1). Here is what Tevi's foster mom has to say about him: "Tevi is the older brother of the group. He has always been almost twice the size of the others. He is reserved and often calm (although he has his moments with bursts of energy).  He often watches while his sisters wrestle and chase each other. Or Itsy will decide to wrestle him and then he has no choice. When he does initiate wrestling, it is usually with Oscar his brother. He enjoys pets from us more and more as he learns to trust." If you are looking for a beautiful new kitten (or two!), please contact Ines at irogachevsky@hotmail.com or 787-604-5211. She is also very playful. We brought in a new feather toy and to our surprise she dominated it and would not let the other 3 near it until she was done with it. Itsy and Odine love to wrestle each other. All the babies wrestle, but Itsy and Odine do particularly — they are bonded sisters with some spice." He is also a true mama’s boy and is often sleeping on top of her. With his siblings, he seems most bonded with his brother Tevi. He is coming out of his shell more each day and playing and wanting to touch us. When he gets to fully trust, he will be a love bug." She likes being picked up to touch her nose to ours. Itsy and Odine love to wrestle each other. All the babies wrestle, but Itsy and Odine do particularly — they are bonded sisters with some spice."
