Story
Ember found herself living at the Edgefield Recycling center having litter after litter. The current caretaker was allowed to feed her, but not permitted to leave shelter. With the brutal weather we had in January, she came to live with me until the weather warmed up, but she is way too friendly to release back outside. She's was tested recently for feline aids and leukemia and she was negative for both. She's extremely friendly 4 year old ready for the domesticated life. She's great with other cats and did not even need time to adjust to the indoor lifestyle (She just accepted it). She is passive but not fearful. She's been fixed, she's up to date on her shots and she is microchipped! Please apply if interested in adopting. https://bit.ly/fofadoptionapplication

Story
Ageist feline seeks ideal living accommodations. Gigi has been with me since she was 8 weeks old. She is now over a year old and has already had to have her vaccinations updated. You'd think by now she would have been adopted being so beautiful and petite. The thing is.... Gigi is a Royal P.I.T.A. She dislikes me. She dislikes my husband. She is a nightmare to show. She instinctively knows when it's adoption day and just like Danny Devito in Always Sunny in Philadelphia, she hides herself somewhere within the couch. On the off chance I can catch her for adoptions, she hisses at all the little kids who greet her at her cage. You'd think oh Gigi is just the type of cat who just doesn't like people, but that isn't true. Gigi is ageist and likes the older crowd. When Grandma visits, Gigi is all over her. Don't tell me that Gigi needs to live with Grandma because Grandma already has more than enough in her "land of misfit cats" who have decided to move out of the rescue, one being a three legged cat who learned to climb the gate, hopped her way to Grandma's apartment door and never looked back. Gigi is a completely different cat around my mom. She likes the energy of the seasoned people. When children come to the house, she just avoids them and hides till they leave. She's not aggressive. Gigi likes other cats and could adapt to low energy dogs. If you have the 65+ older vibe going on at your home that Gigi craves, please consider giving her a chance. She does snuggle and puts in at least 2 minimum shifts at the biscuit factory.https://bit.ly/fofadoptionapplication

Nigel is an absolute sweetheart! He is a bit on the timid side, but once he is comfortable in a new home, he will be ready to share his kisses and cuddles. Nigel enjoys being rubbed on his back end and will squiggle around the room like a worm because he loves it so much. He is such a handsome and sweet guy. Nigel gets along well with other cats, dogs unknown, and loves kids!

Story
I'm at the point where I just want to cry for Carla. I'm not the best fit for her and she's been miserable for months. She's not a huge fan of other cats, but she will tolerate them if they give her space. She really wants love and attention in a small cat household. She's gentle and affectionate and I can tell that she's miserable and not relaxed in my foster home with all the young cats and kittens. She'll sit in the corner or find a spot to get away from the other kitties. Her backstory: Carla was kept as an outdoor cat. The couple that owned her got a divorce. First the wife and child moved away and did not take Carla and then a year later the husband moved away and just left her outside to fend for herself. For weeks, she waited on the porch hoping they'd return to feed her. Carla faces significant adoption challenges due to her age of 8 years and FIV positive status. She exhibits cautious behavior around other cats, growling and non-contact swatting when they approach, but refrains from EVER actually attacking. FIV positive cats like Carla can thrive in multi-cat households. The condition is not transmissible through shared litter boxes, water bowls, grooming, or food dishes. Carla is up-to-date on her veterinary care, spayed, and microchipped.https://bit.ly/fofadoptionapplication
