Story
This might just be the sweetest Cookie you'll ever meet! He is a 4-year-old hunk with stunning emerald eyes and mitts to die for! But the icing on the cake (err...Cookie) is his lovable personality. He's timid with new people, but once he recognizes a kind heart, he turns on his motor. He loves to be held and cuddled. Cookie does have some health concerns that require diligence and vigilance though. He should lose a couple of pounds and his litter box activity needs to be closely monitored. He recently experienced a life threatening urinary blockage and he's on a Rx diet as a result. Cookie will do best in a quiet, stress-free indoor home. He previously lived with a dog; he might do well with a gentle dog and another nice cat. If you think this beautiful boy is the one for you, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.

Story
**Sam is bonded with Rosie and they would like to be adopted together** Sam (aka Samwise Gamgee, Sammy, Sam-a-lam-a-ding-dong, Sammy Sammy He’s My Hammy!) is a sweet soul with a heart of gold who’s learning to trust people more every day. He’s quiet, gentle, and quirky in the best ways—he chirrups instead of meowing because meows are just too basic for him. He gives head-butts like a champ, flops dramatically for attention, and absolutely adores feet (he’ll even do somersaults at yours!). He’s also a big fan of belly rubs, giving kisses, and chasing feather toys and squishy balls—proudly parading them around in his mouth. At first, Sam may dart to a safe spot (under a cat condo or in a cozy cave), but give him time and patience and he’ll come out purring, ready for love and snacks—especially Squeeze-Ups, his ultimate weakness. He’s not a fan of loud noises, fast movements, or being picked up much (yet), but he’s come so far and continues to grow more confident every day. Sam does great with other cats, especially his sister Rosie, whom he follows for guidance and comfort. They are a perfect balance of sweet, silly, and snugly—and ready to find a home that will let them blossom. If you're interested in meeting Sam, please complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.

**Bonded with Brandy** Meet Maura, a quiet soul with a gentle spirit. Though she’s on the shy side, Maura is slowly learning to trust and will let you pet her when she's feeling safe. She recently had a benign growth removed from her back and recovered beautifully—she's healthy and ready for her forever home. Maura is most comfortable in a calm, quiet environment, and you’ll often spot her exploring, along with her sister Brandy, when the house settles down at night. With a little patience, Maura could blossom into a lovely, low-key companion. If you're interested in meeting Maura and Brandy, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.

Say hello to Milkshake, the charming black and white kitty who’s ready to shake up your life—in the best way possible! Milkshake is all about fun, affection, and companionship. From the moment he entered his foster home, he’s been impressing everyone with his sweet nature and playful energy. Whether it’s a feather wand, a jingly ball, or even a paper bag, Milkshake is always game. Once he’s gotten his zoomies out, he’ll perch contentedly at the window, birdwatching and sunbathing like a true gentleman. But he’s not just about play—Milkshake is also a huge fan of cuddles. He loves being petted and will nuzzle up against you for head scratches and attention. He’s got a big heart and isn’t shy about showing it! Milkshake would love a home with people who enjoy interacting with him—whether it’s playing with toys, relaxing on the couch, or chatting while he supervises you from the windowsill. He could thrive as a solo cat or possibly alongside a friendly feline companion with proper introductions.

Story
**Adoptable as an indoor mouser or spirit cat** Rusty is a gorgeous orange ticked tabby boy who is about two years old. Unfortunately, he is very wary of humans because he was not properly socialized early enough in life. He has lived indoors only with many other cats. He currently spends his days napping and burrowed under a blanket with his cat friends and his nights eating, playing with toys and enjoying catnip. With lots of time and patience, he has the potential to become a companion pet, but he is currently available as a mouser or a spirit cat. If you're interested in meeting Rusty, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.

Story
Swish was discovered on a rainy night, abandoned in a locked carrier behind a dumpster - terribly emaciated, frightened, and in visible pain. While many kitties may find it hard to trust humans again after this traumatic experience, Swish radiates forgiveness, sweetness, friendship, and playfulness. He simply longs for a forever family to love. He soaks up attention with silly summersaults and dramatic rolls, often so enthusiastically that he tumbles right off whatever he’s perched on. He loves to have his belly scratched, will carry toys to you when he wants to play and is excellent at eating his breakfast, lunch and dinner (he is still catching up on missed meals!). While he doesn’t quite understand how to be held for long periods yet, Swish will let you know with deep, resonant purring and soft head nudging that his Heaven is curling up next to someone for a long nap. This might just be the gentlest, loving and handsome kitty you ever did meet. Swish is great with all people. He does not get along with other animals (cats or dogs) and would do best as the only pet in his new family. He is neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is fully litter trained and his vets at Richmond Animal Hospital have made the following statements about Swish: “We love Swish. Everyone in this office wishes we could adopt Swish for ourselves. Unfortunately, we all have dogs” “He is a very brave boy” “He has the face of an angel” Swish has one wish, and it's to find his forever family that will give him all the love he deserves. He is currently being fostered/cared for by a loving family in Vergennes VT. Please email ericanet@gmavt.net if you are interested in adopting this sweet boy!
