Story
Meet Jess, an undisputably adorable 3-month-old kitten. Jess is the princess of her family. Not in a “demand-my-grapes-peeled” way, but in a “I’m tiny, charming, and everyone here is obviously obsessed with me” kind of way. She’s an adorable, teeny-tiny tabby girl with big curious eyes that say, “Who are you and what snacks did you bring?” Unlike her bold, slightly rambunctious siblings — yes, we’re looking at you, Winnie and Schmidt— Jess prefers to take things at her own pace. She’s the kitten equivalent of sitting on the loft’s highest shelf, watching her roommates attempt emotional growth. Reserved? A bit. Observant? Definitely. But the moment nap time rolls around? She melts into a warm lap, purring like it’s her job. Jess loves meeting new people, collecting admirers one gentle head-bump at a time. And in true New Girl fashion, her heart is huge. She’ll need a feline roommate in her forever home to help her run their kingdom, share secrets with, and, of course, co-star in important afternoon nap adventures. Adorkably sweet. Softly regal. Completely lovable. That’s Jess. If you're interested in meeting her, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.

Story
Lenny is the sweetest little striped, brown tiger kitty. He has a white chest, white feet and white at the tip of his tail! There is a tenderness in the expression on his face and his heart is true. Though he is a bit shy, his eyes seem to say he wants to be loved and love in return. He came into the rescue with his brother, who was recently adopted, and an adult cat, Uncle Lee, who cared for the boys when they lived outside! It was so sweet to see! Now that Lenny's brother is in his forever home (with his friend Lindsay) and Uncle Lee is in foster care, Lenny's little face seems to be saying: “Pick me. It's my turn now!” He will be patient, though, because he knows what's meant to be will be. Lenny would do best with a feline friend. If you want to meet Lenny, complete an adoption application at www.queencitycatsvt.org.

Not good with kids, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Rocky is a big, goofy, 4.5-yr-old boy with a huge purr and so much love to give! If you are a patient person that wants a cat that likes both his alone time and play time than he is the boy for you. Rocky is a shy and scared initially, and will need a separate room to decompress for the first month. Once comfortable he’s playful, curious, and loves chasing wiggle toys, birdwatching from the window, and being brushed (his absolute favorite thing)! When he’s feeling lovey (a lot of the time), he’ll rub around your legs, walk over you and lay down next to you. He loves his cat bed and getting under and on the blankets and laying with his person. He has energy to burn and needs playtime during the day to keep him happy and balanced. He is comfortable being picked up, getting his nails trimmed, and being generally handled. He will communicate by chirping when he does not want to be picked up or touched. If you're interested in meeting Rocky, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.

Story
Tobias has spent a lot of time getting used to humans. He is a natural at cat diplomacy, checking in on the other Lounge cats, headbutting them, and gently wrestling with his fellow teenage kittens, Rachel (his girlfriend!), Lindsay (his sister), and Lillian Smith. He is not afraid of mops, brooms, or vacuums, purr-efering to come close to inspect and play with these implements. He is observant and curious. He has begun allowing some petting from humans, and calls out for them with a sweet little “hawwaw?” chirp if he’s craving company. He adores playing with feathered or ribbon wand toys, and will chase ping pong balls, and other bouncing, skittering objects of interest. He has become the first to approach visitors when they enter the Lounge, though he’s still cautious about strangers reaching out to touch him. He continues to blossom every day, and is a terrific companion to other cats. He’d love to go home with another cat (Rachel IS his girlfriend), or to a home with another cat friend. Don’t sleep on this boio. He is a fan favorite with our cat care team, and will be sure to make you melt, laugh, and brighten your days. If you want to meet Tobias, complete an adoption application at queencitycatsvt.org.
