Story
Gryffinpaw is a new arrival that was very shy and scared. He was trapped outside the shelter so he may have lived outside all his life so far. Regardless of that, he has come a long way to realize pets are nice. Gryffinpaw is young, approximately only a year old - so we have hope he will come out of his shell with a loving home and patient family/person! He now enjoys strokes between the eyes and up his forehead and has been becoming more accepting of people! If you have the patience to be his new owners, let us know and set up a time to meet him. Story
Miss Spicey lives up to her namesake, but she’s sweet and spicy! Spicey may not trust as easily as some other cats, but when she warms up, she is a delight. Spicey will likely do best in a quieter home, that allows her time and space to adapt and feel safe. Spicey is a brown and grey tabby with really fun, cute patches of orange tabby, like one orange paw and the tip of her tail! We hope for Spicey to find a home where she can be comfortable and appreciated for the uniquely wonderful kitty she is! She loves human attention and when you come home, she'll tell you all about her day and what she did while you were gone as she is a vocal girl! She loves to play and is known to get mad at her own tail and chase it! Spicey has transferred to a foster home, so you can meet her by appointment. Please call us at 507-895-2066 or email. Spicey looks forward to meeting you!

Story
Judd has a soft all-white coat and liked to keep to himself before, but has started coming out of his shell. He is deaf and arrived mostly feral in August 2023. He just didn't have the experience and trust of humans yet, but he really has come a long way. Judd is always really interested in kittens - he trills at them whenever they are near. He is estimated to be about six years old. With the right person and home, mixed with some patience, it could make Judd a great buddy to have around. We dream of him having all the comforts life of a housecat has to offer! Are you Judd's person(s)? He'd love to meet you. Please call us at 507-895-2066 or email info@lacrescentanimalrescue.com, or fill out an application from our website.

Story
Herrrre's BARNEY. Barney is looking for a new home due to an unfortunate health incident of his previous owner. He is existing alright with the other cats in our Main room, but we do feel he'd prefer to be an only cat. He's a good boy and actually loves belly rubs! No trap here; he is good with people. Barney is, who he is - around 10 years old, he knows what he likes. He definitely likes people's attention. He would make a great family cat. He is super soft and fluffy. Barney loves open windows, smelling the fresh air and watching birds and squirrels. He would be okay as the only cat as he doesn't love having to share the windows, but could coexist with another cat who was respectful of his space. You can visit Barney during our open hours every Wednesday and Saturday. If either of those don't work with your schedule, please call us at 507-895-2066 or email info@lacrescentanimalrescue.com to set up a time.

Story
Blackberry is a 3 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped! Meet Blackberry! Blackberry is a sweet but more reserved kitty who enjoys gentle pets and head scratches once he's had the chance to get to know you. While he does enjoy the company of his favorite people, he also does great with his independence when you must be away. He is a fairly low-key and mellow man who enjoys the simpler things in life such as catnapping in a cozy bed, relaxing next to a sunny window, or lounging in his cat tree. Blackberry is a sweet and mellow man but he does prefer his independence at times and may occasionally startle from fast movements and loud noises. So, he is looking for a bit of a calmer and quieter home with children at least 5 years of age or older. He did previously live with several other cats and is currently residing here at the shelter with one of his housemates Oreo McFlurry who he is easily able to co-exist with so he shouldn't mind having a feline friend in his new home either given slow and proper introductions to one another. He also previously lived with a dog who he got along with great too! If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application

Story
Catzilla is a 4 year old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped! Meet Catzilla! Catzilla is a big, handsome, and sweet guy who is ready to find his special someone. He may be a bit more reserved at first and will need a few days to decompress in a new environment but once he does he will show you his truly enduring personality. He is a giant teddy bear with the most squeezable checks ever and he adores pets and attention from just about everyone he meets. He is otherwise a mostly mellow and laid back kitty who may occasionally enjoy exploring his surroundings but would rather spend the biggest part of his day lounging next to a sunny window or up high in his cat tree. Catzilla is a big, sweet teddy bear of a guy who adores everyone he meets as long as he is given a chance to acclimate to his surroundings. So, with slow and proper introductions to a new home and its occupants he really should do great with just about any family including those with respectful children of any age. He however doesn’t appreciate other felines so he does need to be the one and only kitty in the home. If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application
