Apply to Adopt Me! Jensen is a very social 3yo, 20lb dachshund mix. He loves everyone he meets. When his foster mom has visitors, he runs from one person to another for about 10 minutes, then he settles down on his mat by everyone. He loves belly rubs and any and all attention. He is good with other dogs but hasn't been around cats in our rescue. Jensen is full of energy. He gets very excited when the shoes go on and the leash comes out. He loves his walks and walks at a very quick pace, so you will definitely get your steps in! Squirrels don’t seem to bother him but a loud truck or school bus excites him and he will lunge after it. He loves the fenced back yard and lets his foster mom know when there is someone walking past. His favorite toys are the firm squeaky ones and Nyla Bones. He doesn't love riding in the car, but does ok. Jensen eats and drinks well and has trained his foster mom to take him outside every couple hours. He has had a few accidents when she didn't notice he was standing at the door or giving her the LOOK. He looks forward to treats, is crate trained, and sleeps through the night. He goes out immediately when he wakes up.  He loves sleeping in the human bed with his person. These sweet girls are Dachshund and Chihuahua mixes and are approximately six years old. They came to Pet Rescue By Judy after a heartbreaking change in their family—one of their owners sadly passed away, and the other was forced to move and could not bring both dogs along.  Despite the upheaval in their lives, Squirt and Sweet Pea have remained happy, affectionate, and full of personality. They are housebroken, get along well with other dogs, and even like cats. They enjoy bath time, have been around children ages six and up, and have a playful side that shines once they feel comfortable. Both girls love going for walks and do very well riding in the car, making them great companions for outings and adventures.  Squirt and Sweet Pea are currently on a weight-loss journey and would thrive with a dedicated owner or family committed to helping them stay active and healthy. Daily walks, playtime in the yard, and lots of encouragement will help these girls continue shedding pounds and gaining confidence.  These two share a special bond and bring out the best in each other.
