Story
The two photos show how her fur changes color in the Sun versus in the shade. Vivian is the biggest love bug you will ever meet, she adores affection and attention. She lived a very rough life on the streets and was written off by many other rescues as unfavorable because of her advanced abscesses and sexually transmitted cancer that she was facing. The recommendation was to euthanize her. Thankfully her advocate contacted us and with the help with our skilled veterinarian team we were able to save her! She is now ready to start the next chapter in her life cancer free!

Story
Hero is an 11-month-old Dutch Shepherd mix with a striking black sable coat, weighing 51.6 pounds. He’s currently at Butte Humane Society and ready to find his forever home. Hero is a very outgoing and social young dog with an enthusiastic, sometimes excitable personality. He loves food, which makes him highly motivated and eager to learn. Hero walks well on leash and enjoys getting out for walks and adventures. As a young dog, Hero would thrive in an active home that can provide continued training, exercise, and plenty of attention. If you’re looking for a fun, confident companion who’s ready to grow with you, Hero could be the one! 💛 All dogs that are adopted from Butte Humane Society come microchipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, placed on preventions for heartworm, and flea and tick-borne illnesses. Story
Hello! My ex-wife and I adopted Brisket from Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento when she was under a year old in early 2020. The shelter believes she's a Dutch Shepherd mix. She's fully house-trained, has never had an accident, and doesn’t destroy anything except her toys. Brisket is generally good with people but can get anxious in loud environments (parties, live music, construction) and has nipped at guests before. She barks at outside noises or deliveries with a deep bark, but stops after a few seconds. At home, she’s okay with other dogs as long as they don’t bother her; if they do, she’ll growl or slap them. She also has some leash aggression when directly approaching other dogs during walks. Brisket is very loving but has always been a bit fearful, though she’s improved over time. She’d likely do best in a calm home with someone who enjoys a smart and loving dog.
