Story
This cutie is 4mo old and had already been failed. Lets help him turn that around and change his life. He is your typical puppy, spunky, loving and full of adventure. He is learning some leash skills and to retrieve a ball. Bill would adapt to most any lifestyle. This breed does demand some quality training and a commitment of 10-15yrs in your family. His adoption fee pays for his neuter when its appropriate, vaccines up to date & microchipped. Reach out with any questions. 208-509-7245

Story
*Meet Eli: The Comeback King * Eli isn’t just any dog—he’s a survivor with a heart of gold. This 6-year-old gentle soul has been on quite the journey, and he’s ready to share the next (and best!) chapter of his life with a forever family. When Eli first came to us, he tipped the scales at 88 pounds and moved through life with sore, damaged knees. But with love, medical care, and a whole lot of determination, he’s transformed. Today, Eli is a healthy 60 pounds, walking strong after successful TPLO surgeries on both knees. He’s living proof that second chances (and healthy snacks!) make all the difference. Eli’s favorite things are the simple joys—lounging near his people, soaking up sunshine, and keeping a steady routine. He isn’t looking for wild adventures; instead, he thrives in calm, stable environments where he can be someone’s shadow and steady source of comfort. He gets along well with both dogs and cats, but his gentle, easygoing nature means he prefers companions who respect his space. He also manages pannus, a condition that causes some vision loss. With daily eye drops (which he takes like a champ), Eli stays comfortable and happy. Because of his limited vision, a quieter home without young kids is the best match for him. The monthly cost for his eye drops is about $35. When adopted we will send him with several months supply. If you’re searching for a loyal, low-key friend who will curl up beside you and remind you every day of the beauty of resilience, Eli is your guy. After everything he’s been through, he’s ready to settle into the loving, forever home he truly deserves. Eli's adoption fee is $250. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and will come with his eye drops. If you are interested in possibly adopting Eli, please complete an adoption application located here: https://idawg.org/application.html

Story
Kenai just turned 4 in October and is a German-Sheppard mix, but we do not know what he is mixed with. He is a sweet dog who has good recall, but has a lot of energy and some anxiety. He is currently in a loving home with two other dogs and two small children, but unfortunately with our schedules and time we are just finding it hard to keep up and give him the most love and attention as well as getting him out. He is great with our kids and the other dogs, but has moments where he gets more anxious or growls. He also tends to guard food, but is able to eat right next to our other two dogs and has never been aggressive he just sounds rough. However, as soon as you say his name he listens. I think he would do better in a home without kids overall though since he is easily stressed out with kids in the 4-10 range and their activity. He is well house trained, loves to run and play, can fetch very well and has been socialized with many other dogs and people. He truly is such a loving pup!
