Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet stripes! Stripes had a rough start in life.  He was found with an owner who neglected him.  He was filthy and not allowed to get out and play.  This sweet boy is very grateful for a yard to play in, clean place to sleep, food, and lots of petting and love from his foster mom. Stripes loves playing with furry toys and other dogs and they have helped him  build his confidence .   When he isn't playing with another dog he wants to be close to his human.   Stripes is a laid back guy who loves nothing more than a cozy bed, belly rubs and human snuggles. He can be shy at first but warms up and is very loving.  Stripes has been around a 3 y/o child and did well but was a bit skittish of kid activity.   Therefore, we believe Stripes would be more comfortable with older kids.      He is housetrained but finds comfort in his kennel so he kennels well to eat, sleep, and if foster mom needs to work  for a few hours.         Stripes loves car rides and does well just in the car uncrated.    He  would love an owner to go on adventures with and enjoy life together which will  help him continue to build his confidence.  . If Stripes sounds like the one for you and your lifestyle, please read info below regarding adopting. This pet has been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, and is on heartworm and flea prevention and has adoption fee of $175 (local) - $500 (depending on transport destination).  Thank you for considering adding a homeless pet to your family. Story
Brooklyn is a beautiful 9 month old Husky/Shepherd Mix who is smaller in size at around 45 pounds. She and her siblings were posted on facebook as needing rescue after being abandoned by their mom when they were just a few days old. This turned out to be a lie, but they weren’t in a good situation and needed rescue. One of our nursing mom fosters, who had lost several of her own puppies, took them in as her own until they were weaned. Brooklyn is an intelligent, athletic, and affectionate girl but it takes her a little while to trust new people. Once she does, she is attached for life and very loyal and will let you do practically anything to her. She is food motivated which will make training easy once a bond is formed and she loves her crate – in fact, she will put herself in it when she sees it’s getting time for her foster mom to leave for work. Brooklyn is housetrained via a dog door, but we’re pretty sure she’s fully housetrained. She currently lives with 8 other dogs of various ages and size (8lbs-80lbs) and is good with them but does require a brief introduction period – she can be a little bossy for the first 5-10 minutes. Brooklyn is great in the car and loves to go on walks – she could use a little work on the leash but mainly because she wants to chase everything that moves – but again, she is trainable with the right motivation. She seems to have a drive to please and learn new things as she is very attentive everything around her and really looks for guidance from her “person”/foster mom. At night, Brooklyn curls up close and sleeps soundly until you are ready to get up. We believe Brooklyn will do best in a home with another dog she can learn from and play with at her level, a person/family who is willing to take the time to earn her trust and help build her confidence, older or no kids and no cats because she does have some herding breed tendencies. If you are interested in meeting or knowing more about Brooklyn, please submit an application and her foster mom will be happy to reach out to you.
