Story
Our boy Easy Ryder is a handsome Shepherd mix that is young at just 18 months of age and 75 pounds of strength and muscle.  This intelligent boy is so much fun as he is filled with curiosity and a depth of intense observations that allows him to miss “nothing” that is going on around him.  This boy really loves the girls and so if he was going to live with another dog existing in a family, we would say girls only.  He is OK with cats but a little too curious for us to be totally comfortable that he would not chase.  He has been trained with lots of the things you want a dog to know about; crate trained, good on a leash and he loves long walks or a jogging companion.  This boy would be a great sidekick to ride around in your truck or SUV as you make your rounds and errands in life.  Easy Ryder needs a strong leader and a fenced yard would be truly a needed bonus to have an easy time with his exercise time and bathroom breaks.  If you are interested, please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 6, 2023, 6:56 pm

Story
Freda is a very loving and calm German Shepherd girl that, despite the humans that have let her down so many times, she still wants to be by your side and loving you.  This girl is a purebred Shepherd and she is such a special, gentle soul.  She came from a KY high kill shelter and was adopted out from the shelter in 2022 to a man that intended to breed her, and the reason why we run to the shelters sometimes to get these purebred dogs out of harm’s way.  But thankfully Freda was not a dog that came in to heat and very soon the man grew tired of waiting and decided to take her BACK to the shelter and turn her in.  She wasn’t producing for him.  We are so happy about this!  Truly she was destined to be in the hands of a good rescue that would make sure she was spayed.  Freda is gentle, sweet, not overly anxious like some Shepherds can be and she is kind in her temperament.  She is 7 years old and 70 pounds.  We are praying for a special home for her and a happily ever after ending to her life.  Would that be with you?   Contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.    Place her with the most caring and GSD savvy family.   This girl is 7 years old and 70 pounds.  She has not led a cushy life and CCR had to do a lot of extra vetting to get her to a healthy place.   She had benign mammary tumors removed and no sign of cancer, spayed, heartworm negative, and dewormed.  She is ready for that comfortable dog bed by the fireplace, sleeping at the foot of someone’s bed, roaming a spacious backyard that offers her grass, bunny rabbits to chase and maybe other dogs to play with.  She is a jewel with a spirit of grace and forgiveness for all the poor care from the humans that went before us at Critter Cavalry Rescue.  Funny how the dogs can forgive so easily and humans cannot.  We are seeking a Cinderella Story for Freda.  Do you have the magical Prince Charming carriage to carry her off into the sunset to a new home?  If so please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   She is ready and has her slippers fitting just perfectly!            PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 6, 2023, 6:56 pm

Story
If you are looking for a wonderful mature German Shepherd who is loving and gentle and easy to have around, then Addie is your girl!  This sweetheart is loving and somewhat energetic for an 8 year old German Shepherd. She believes that her mission in life is to fetch and bring it back for you to throw it again.  She will fetch for hours if you’re up for it and your arm or chucker throw will hold out! She is so smart and her funny talent is watching TV and barking at the animals on the screen. She is quick to love anyone who gives her attention or plays with her. Addie is also content to lounge around the house during the day and is a great door sensory alarm. She was an owner surrender because the growing family didn’t have the time to care or spend with her.  A toddler of 2 years was taking all their time and attention and Addie was just kicked aside. She is looking for a single dog household with no young children. She wants to be the only child receiving your undivided love and attention. She is fine with other dogs but doesn’t care to live with them inside her home…if you ask her that’s what she would say!  Someone with German Shepherd experience would be perfect.   She has years to go and tons of love to give.  Please consider Addie…she is the perfect German Shepherd girl.  And she will need some pain meds now and again and Glucosamine with Chondroitin every day for joints.  She is a large breed and the joints breakdown sooner due to the weight of large breeds.  Please contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in this beauty.   One footnote…she is not a fan of car rides.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 6, 2023, 6:56 pm
