Story
Hi Great Dog Lovers out there! We are courtesy posting a lovely dog for an amazing local Cleveland Rescue Group. This dog's a beauty! A Dutch Shepherd (these lovely dogs originate from the Netherlands, how cool is that)? Meet Ruie Sweet, Energetic Young Female seeking forever home. Looking for a loving home for a playful 1.5 to 2-year-old female who needs a caring person ready to help her reach her full fantastic potential. Despite being left at the kennel by her original owners this enthusiastic girl did not let that get her down and was excited when her new owners rescued her. With every good intent her new family found out that she needed more attention than their busy lives can provide at this time, and they want to do right by her. She loves soaking up the sun, going for car rides, snuggling on the sofa or just being her super playful and athletic happy self. She has lots of love to give, and is smart and sensitive at the same time. She would thrive with someone who can give her the dedicated time to love, mixed with exercise. Ideal home would include: -Experience with young, active dogs. -Commitment and patience to positive reinforcement training. -A secure fenced yard for play and exercise, she is athletic and can jump lower fencing. She's great with people and has been to doggy school learning the basics. This pup has so much potential and love to give, ready to be your best friend ever. Rehoming Post: Application and home visit required, rehoming fee in the form of a donation to SEHS. For inquiries please call Deb with SEHS at 216-225-5526.

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Gunner. I'm about 6 years old and I weigh about 70 lbs. My friend Bella and I were surrendered to the pound through no fault of our own and we're now looking for loving new families to join. I flunked training for being a police canine because I'm a friendly boy with not quite enough drive needed for that line of work. I was rehomed to the family that had me for most of my life, but sadly they could no longer keep me, so now I am looking for a working bred savvy family to join. I'm not super high drive, but it is there, so a family familiar with my breed, or similar breeds is preferred for me. All that being said, I am an extremely sweet boy. I have lived with another dog and I've been around and lived with small children my whole life. My family said that I am absolutely wonderful with kids. I've been a really good boy here at the pound. I am affectionate with people and I get along well with other dogs if introduced properly. I am both housebroken and crate trained. I was crated when my family went away, but otherwise, I was with them in the house, just lounging on the couch, cuddling with my people and my dog sister, and just living a good life. I do know some basic commands, but if I don't respect you, I probably won't listen. I would do great with a family that is consistent with me. If you're looking for a great dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. Story
Mountain puppiesHelen is an adorable all natural 5-month-old female Doberman mix puppy who is ready to find her forever family.  Life didn't get off to the best start for Helen and her littermates. They were removed from their home by authorities due to poor living conditions, and the local shelter knew these puppies needed the help of a rescue. Doberman Underground stepped in and give them the chance they deserve. Helen is thriving in her foster home.  She's everything you would expect from a happy Doberman puppy—playful, curious, affectionate, energetic and full of personality! She loves exploring the world around her, enjoys playing with other dogs, is cat friendly, and is ready to shower her future family with love. Dobermans are an intelligent, active working breed, and prior Doberman ownership experience is required. A canine companion in the home is ideal to help Helen continue building confidence and appropriate social skills. A physically fenced yard is preferred. While puppies are undeniably adorable, they are also a significant commitment. They require patience, consistency, training, and plenty of time to grow into well-balanced adult dogs. All adopters are required to engage with a professional trainer to help set both puppy and family up for success.  Spay/neuter contract required. Before applying, please carefully consider whether you're ready for the time, energy, and dedication required to raise a puppy, as well as the lifelong commitment of the next 10–12 years. If you're prepared for the adventure, Helen is ready to reward you with a lifetime of love, laughter, and loyal companionship.  Apply today at https://dudobes.org/adopt/application/ Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in counties of bordering states.  Be sure to check the complete list of the state and specific counties we adopt to at the top of the application. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 27, 2026, 8:30 am
