Story
Meet Austin! Austin is a handsome 2-year-old, 60-pound Dutch Shepherd who came to us after arriving at ACCT as a stray. This sweet boy is ready for a fresh start with a family to call his own. Austin is the definition of a gentle soul. During his evaluation, he was much more interested in being close to his people than posing for pictures- we actually had a hard time getting photos because he kept curling up beside us for snuggles. If you're looking for a Velcro dog who loves affection, Austin is your guy. He's a pleasure to walk on leash, with nice manners and no pulling. He takes treats gently and is eager to spend time with his people. Rather than chasing toys, Austin enjoyed exploring the yard at his own pace, taking in all the interesting smells and calmly greeting another dog through the fence. After his little adventure around the yard, Austin's favorite place was right next to his person, soaking up pets and attention. He's affectionate, easygoing, and has a quiet, loving nature that makes him incredibly easy to fall for. Austin is ready to leave shelter life behind and find a home where he can enjoy long walks, cozy cuddles, and all the love he's been waiting for. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a sweet demeanor and a heart of gold, Austin may be the perfect match. ❤️l He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Story
Meet Preston! At just 1 year old and 55 pounds, Preston is a handsome Dutch Shepherd with a zest for life that is impossible not to admire. Preston arrived at ACCT Philly with a severe traumatic injury to his hind leg and was quickly transferred to our rescue for specialized care. Unfortunately, the damage was too extensive, and his leg had to be amputated. The amazing part? Preston didn't let that slow him down for even a second. This resilient young dog runs, plays, explores, and enjoys life with the same enthusiasm as any four-legged dog. Happy, energetic, and always ready for an adventure, Preston approaches every day with an infectious spirit that reminds everyone around him to celebrate the little things. Like many young shepherds, Preston is still working on his manners. He can get excited and pull on leash or hop up to ask for hugs, but he's smart, eager to learn, and responds well to guidance. With continued training and structure, this boy has all the potential to be an exceptional companion. Preston is looking for a shepherd-savvy home that understands the needs of an intelligent, active working breed and is committed to continuing his training and providing the physical and mental enrichment he craves. In return, you'll gain a loyal, loving partner who doesn't know the meaning of giving up. Three legs, one big personality, and a heart full of joy- Preston is ready to show his future family that life is meant to be lived to the fullest. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Apply for adoption at www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Adoption fee: $500 Phoenix Animal Rescue Chester Springs, Pa Kennel License #5152

Story
Remi is a stunning Dutch Shepherd mix with a gorgeous brindle coat, captivating amber eyes, and a smile that will melt your heart. At around 5 years old, this beautiful girl found herself looking for a fresh start after her family decided they no longer wanted her. While we can't change her past, we're determined to help her find the loving future she deserves. The best way to describe Remi? An absolutely EXCELLENT dog. From the moment she arrived, Remi has impressed everyone she meets. She is friendly, affectionate, and has been wonderful with all of our volunteers. She knows several commands, enjoys spending time with her people, and clearly had training in her previous home. She was also trained on an invisible fence system and has demonstrated excellent manners throughout her stay with us. Remi walks beautifully on leash, handles grooming care like a champ, and recently sat patiently through a full scrub-down in the tub without complaint. She truly seems happy to be wherever her people are. And while her sweet gray muzzle may suggest she's entering her senior years, don't let that fool you! Remi still has plenty of pep in her step, enjoys getting out and about, and is always ready for an adventure or a game with her favorite humans. Remi is the kind of dog who fits effortlessly into your life - a loyal companion, a hiking buddy, a couch cuddle partner, and a faithful best friend all rolled into one. She's ready to leave her past behind and find a family that will appreciate just how special she is. If you're looking for a well-mannered, loving companion with beauty, brains, and an incredible personality, Remi is waiting to meet you. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. Story
Jax; Meet Jax, a gentle hearted soul with a whole lot of love to give! This handsome boy may start off a little shy in new environments or around unfamiliar faces, but once he warms up, he's incredibly affectionate and loyal. Jax thrives on human connection- he'll nudge you for pets and proudly parade his favorite toys just to show off his playful side. Jax is a smart pup who already knows several cues like "sit", "kennel", and " come around". He will walk behind you and sit sweetly between your legs. He enjoys learning and responds well to gentle, consistent guidance. When it comes to mealtime, Jax is a slow and sensitive eater. He prefers the calm and comfort of his kennel during meals and does best when given his space, as he can become anxious if other dogs approach his bowl. Jax can be selective with other dogs, he may do well with a calm and respectful canine companion after a proper introduction. if you're looking for a loving thoughtful companion who will reward your patience with endless affection, consider giving Jax the forever home he deserves.
