Story
Holly is wondering where her forever family is. She's a sweet puppy going on around 5 months old. We think that Holly is a Dutch Shepherd mix or maybe a Cattle dog mix. Holly would love an active family with a fenced in backyard that would give her the appropriate amount of exercise and training. She's not terribly hyper, but puppies need exercise. And just look at those ears! Currently Holly weighs 25lbs and is just the cutest girl ever! If you think Holly might be a good fit for your family, then please fill out the adoption application on our website https://www.pawsitiveimpactncdogrescue.org/adopt ##1883952##

Story
Meet Rufus, a 3-year-old German shepherd mix with a big heart and even bigger energy. At 70 pounds, he’s a strong, athletic boy who’s ready to take on life with an active, committed family. Rufus is friendly, social, and very enthusiastic about people and the world around him. Sometimes his excitement can be a bit overwhelming, but it comes from a place of joy and curiosity. He still needs work on basics to reinforce commands like “come,” “sit” and “down.” With structure, patience, and positive reinforcement, Rufus has tons of potential to grow into a fantastic companion. Because of his high energy and strength, Rufus will do best with experienced, active adopters who can provide plenty of daily exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training. Although he will sit with you on the sofa, he’s not a couch-potato. He’s looking for someone who enjoys hiking, running or other activities that will burn off some of his energy.  If you’re searching for a loyal, energetic partner who will thrive with guidance and attention, Rufus might be your perfect match. He’s ready to put his whole heart into a home that’s ready to do the same.  Rufus is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and has completed treatment and recovery for heartworms. His adoption fee is $200 which includes six months of heartworm prevention.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 26, 2026, 7:20 pm

Story
Meet Freya, a 9-month-old Belgian Malinois mix with a big personality and a zest for life. Friendly, affectionate, and genuinely happy to meet everyone she encounters, Freya is full of youthful energy and always ready to play. Freya is still very much a puppy and will benefit from guidance and structure in her new home to help her learn boundaries, polish her manners, and channel her enthusiasm. Enrolling her in a puppy training class would be a great start. She’s not yet fully house-trained and is still in her chewing phase, so patience and consistency will be important. With positive training and engagement, Freya will grow into the devoted, fun-loving companion that exemplifies her breed. Freya would do best in a home with active adults and/or older children who can keep up with her. She enjoys playing with other dogs, though her exuberance can be a bit much for smaller pups. Freya currently weighs 25 pounds and will likely reach 35 to 45 pounds when mature. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, healthy, and heartworm-negative. Her adoption fee is $200, which includes six months of heartworm prevention.
