Story
COURTESY LISTINGThis dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for Mali. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Mali is an energetic, intelligent girl who lights up when she has a job to do and a person to love. This 3.5 year old, 55 pound Belgian Malinois is active, athletic, and happiest when she is moving, learning, or exploring the world alongside her favorite human. Mali loves jogging, hiking, walking, and turning everyday outings into adventures, especially if squirrels are involved. She is incredibly smart and knows an impressive list of commands including sit, down, stay, come, heel, place, wait at doors, find it, and going into her crate. She truly enjoys working and learning, although she is not a candidate for service dog work. Training for fun, enrichment, and bonding is where she shines. She can be a bit reserved with new people at first, but with treats, patience, and a walk, she warms up nicely. She is very clean in the house, fully crate trained, and when she is crated she primarily naps while her owner is gone. Mali loads easily into the car and walks beautifully on leash when given clear direction. She bonds deeply with her person and wants nothing more than to be someone’s loyal, devoted best girl. Mali would do best in an active, dog-savvy home that understands the breed and enjoys regular exercise and training. A quieter household without cats or young children and with a confident, similar-sized male dog companion would likely be the best fit. If Mali sounds like the perfect adventure partner for you, please contact us for more information.  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. January 9, 2026, 2:56 pm
