Story
Introducing Kai, a 7 year old female Dutch shepherd. She has lived a wonderful life and has been well cared for and socialized but her owner has come into hard times and has to make the incredibly hard decision to find her a new home. He loves her so much and knows she deserves the world that he can’t provide. Please no rude comments, he is heartbroken. Kai is an incredibly intelligent dog. She absolutely adores people. She is 7 years old but she is still ready for adventures. Kai will need a family that will provide daily exercise and then a couch to sleep on! Kai is good with other dogs, especially male dogs. She has also been around cats and was great with them. Kai has been professionally trained and is housetrained. Kai is located in Huntsville AL. We are needing to find her a forever home by the end of the month! If you are interested in adopting Kai, please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net

Story
🐾 Meet Larry & Mabel — two of our longest residents, waiting far too long for the home they deserve. Larry has been in rescue since November 2023, and Mabel since August 2023. Both were pulled from the urgent list at the shelter, narrowly escaping a fate no dog should face. They didn’t know each other then, but once they met in boarding, they became inseparable — best friends who found comfort in one another while the months kept passing by. 💔 Sadly, they have now spent almost two years in boarding, still waiting for someone to give them the chance at a real home. ✨ Larry is a 3-year-old Dutch Shepherd/Plott Hound mix. He’s incredibly sweet, laid back, and loves people and kids. He can be a little picky about his dog friends, but his bond with Mabel shows the depth of his heart. He’s always ready for an adventure — hiking, exploring, or just being by your side. ✨ Mabel is a 3-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback. She’s not only beautiful but also full of energy. She loves the water — especially splashing in a pool — and thrives with activity and play. Once she’s gotten her zoomies out, she’s more than happy to relax and soak up love. Both Larry and Mabel are fully vetted, house trained, crate trained, and kid friendly 🏡. Due to their prey drive, they need a home with no cats or small animals. Mabel can be dominant with other dogs, so she pairs best with submissive companions — though truly, her heart belongs to Larry. 💕 These two are more than just dogs in rescue — they are survivors, loyal friends, and family waiting to happen. They’ve already lost so much time behind kennel doors. What they need now is someone who will see how special their bond is and give them the life they deserve: room to run, adventures to burn their energy, and love to finally call their own. 🌟 If you can’t adopt, even a foster home — temporary or long term — would be a gift to Larry & Mabel after all this time. They deserve to feel what home really means. 📍 Located in Cleveland, TN 🚐 Transport available 💙 Adoption fee: $150 TOTAL for both if adopted together 👉 Please, open your heart to Larry & Mabel. They’ve waited longer than most, and all they want is a family to love — together. 🐾

Story
Meet Sara — Your New Best Friend in a Perfectly Trained, 45-Pound Package of Love At just 20 months old, Miss Sara is already proving to be the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog everyone hopes for—smart, affectionate, eager to please, and now… beautifully trained. Originally adopted as a puppy, Sara was very loved—but when her owner sadly fell ill and could no longer care for her, everything changed. She returned to us with a heart full of love, but without the manners every young pup needs. We knew this girl had potential, so off she went to a professional 3-week training program… and wow, is she showing off. &#226&#156&#133 Training? She’s nailing it. &#226&#156&#133 People? She adores them. &#226&#156&#133 Dogs? Instant besties. &#226&#156&#133 Kids? She belly-crawls just to be close to them—it’s beyond precious. We believe she’s a Dutch Shepherd mix, weighing in at about 45 pounds, with a gorgeous, sleek coat and a heart that beats for human connection. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines—and yes, ready to go! Now, she’s just looking for a home that can match her devotion with love and guidance. Toys are her jam, and she’ll happily entertain herself or join you for a game of fetch. No kitties for this girl, please! Chasing them is just too much fun, and she needs a cat-free home to thrive. Sara is the kind of dog who makes you feel like the most important person in the world. Her loyalty is unmatched, her spirit is bright, and her readiness for her forever home couldn’t be clearer. Interested in giving this beautiful girl her happily-ever-after? Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com today. Let Sara show you what love, intelligence, and a second chance can really look like. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 11, 2025, 9:36 pm

Story
Rip enjoys the company of his person or family. He tends to only bark when he feels the need to let you know something. Crate trained, house broken and very smart. Could be a good candidate for a service dog. Would be best in a home with another dog that is friendly that could help guide him in the daily routine of his new home and rules. He is very loyal, affectionate, and obedient. He responds best to fair, consistent training and clear instructions without force; Use positive reinforcement! Has a good recall, knows sits, walks on a leash. Does great on car rides. Good around kids and small dogs. Guessed adult size to be around 90 lbs, He has a beautiful black coat with a silver undercoat that just shines. He is a beautiful boy. High-quality food is highly recommended to keep him in excellent health. Rip is Neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and ready to begin the rest of this life. Adoptions come with 14 day trial periods, transition food, New leash, New collar and post adoption support. Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
