He is potty trained, crate trained, and does well with other dogs and even cats. This handsome boy is full of personality and loves toys, treats, and active playtime with his canine friends. He’s highly intelligent, food motivated, and eager to learn, making him a great candidate for continued training and enrichment activities. As a Dutch Shepherd mix, Charley Dean is not just looking for a couch to nap on — he’s looking for a partner. These dogs are known for their strong bonds with their people, trainability, and work ethic. He will thrive in a home that can provide structure, consistency, daily exercise, and mental stimulation. Puzzle toys, obedience work, hiking, running, agility, scent work, or even learning new tricks are all things he would likely excel at and enjoy. Charley Dean is energetic and athletic, but he’s also a very sweet and loving boy who enjoys being close to his people once his energy is burned off. He would do best with an active adopter familiar with working breeds or someone committed to meeting the needs of a smart, driven dog. Lennon is the last male from a litter of 8 that came to us as a result of an unwanted litter. Mom was told to us to be an Akita/Shepherd mix and Daddy was a Lab but Lennon looks like he has some Basset in him. Look at his feet and short legs. No matter what he is, he is a great young adult- just a year old now and about 49 lb.. Many breeds have a brindle coloring, one of which is Dutch Shepherd or Hound. This may be where their coloring is coming from. Lennon walks great on a leash and is easy to handle. He is loving and loves to be petted. Ranger is a 6 year old German shepherd, we got him from a breeder when he was 6 weeks old. he’s always been the sweetest loving dog. he’s been around a newborn baby and now she’s 2 and he’s always played with her and never been aggressive. he’s been around toddlers up until teenagers. he DOES NOT do well with cats. his recall is amazing, he sits on command. he is very protective of kids and women. he will walk the house and check the doors at night if he is free to roam. he is fine with sleeping inside, in a kennel or outside in his dog house. he is house trained. he loves to run around and play outside. he loves to play at the lake but not a must. he likes the plastic swimming pools also. We moved and do not have a big enough backyard for him anymore. adoption fee is possibly negotiable.
