Kai is a beautiful, young German Shepard/kelpie mix. She is only 10 months old, so she still has all the playful energy of a puppy, while being old enough to start settling into a routine.She is very loving, smart, and quiet. She loves to be outside, lounge around, and play with her toys. She is incredibly smart and knows commands “sit” and “shake”. She would do best with a family who has time to give her attention, exercise, structure, and continued training.She would make a wonderful companion for someone who wants an active dog and is willing to continue working with her as she grows.Kai has a medical condition called megaesophagus, which means she needs to eat in an upright position so her food can safely reach her stomach. She eats using a Bailey chair (provided) that has become part of her normal routine. Once you understand her routine, her care is very manageable.My job requires a lot of travel, so I am unable to give her the time she deserves.

Freedom is fully vetted, heartworm negative, crate trained, and happily goes to his kennel on command with no accidents. He's expected to stay around 45 pounds. While he isn't the kind of dog who climbs into your lap for cuddles just yet, every small step forward is a huge victory for him. What Freedom needs most isn't perfection—it's patience. Jjajang was returned twice from previous adopters. He loves his person and will be very affectionate once trust is gained. He does get along with my dogs but not neighbor dogs so it’s best he goes to a home with no other animals. I would not trust him with kids. He lives and thrives outside but has never had any potty accidents when he does occasionally come in the house during extreme weather or heat. Currently located in TX with my sister but I can also bring him up to the Chicago area where I recently moved. Would make a great guard dog but would also love attention and affection. If you’re experienced with the emotional personality of a shepherd and are willing to put work, love, and care into him, he will love you forever.
