**Introducing Nova**Meet Nova, a spirited 1.5-year-old female dog looking for her forever home! This playful pup is ready to fill your life with joy and affection while forming deep connections with her family.**What Makes Nova Shine:**- **Loving & Playful:** Nova has a big heart and loves to have fun! She can entertain herself if you're busy but is always ready to spread joy around.- **Housebroken & Crate Trained:** Nova is reliably housebroken and comfortable in her crate, making her well-suited for short periods alone.- **Adventurous Travel Buddy:** She enjoys car rides and will make the perfect companion for road trips and outings.- **Quick Learner:** Nova knows commands like "sit," "stay," and "down," and is eager to learn more with the right guidance.- **Managing Resources:** While friendly, she can be protective of her food and toys. Feeding her separately and supervising playtime will help her feel secure.- **Active Lifestyle Required:** Nova needs daily exercise and mental stimulation. She may try to explore beyond your yard, so a secure fence and supervision are necessary.- **Expressive Nature:** Nova loves to vocalize, making her more suitable for a lively household than a quiet apartment.**The Perfect Match:** Nova thrives with patient and understanding adopters, including men, women, and teenagers. If you’re ready for a loving companion who brings excitement and joy, Nova is the dog for you! 🎾 Meet Bucky! 🎾 Goofy • Loving • Ball-Chasing Best FriendHey, it’s me—Bucky! Can we all agree that I’m absolutely adorable? I think so! I’ve never met a stranger, and I love playing with other dogs. People might think I look or sound a little tough, but trust me—all I want is love, belly rubs, and a ball to chase.👉 ADOPT ME! I’m patiently waiting to meet my forever family. Could that be you? I’m currently staying with my loving foster family, but I can’t wait to find the humans I’ll call my own. Here’s what you should know about me:✔️ Super friendly—I love everyone!✔️ Basic training? Check!✔️ Healthy and full of energy!✔️ Obsessed with balls and backyard adventures!✔️ Excellent car ride buddy, especially if there’s a pup cup at the end.I’m known for my goofy personality and my habit of chatting it up with everyone I meet. People always leave saying I’m their new best friend! (P.S. I’d love to meet the lawn guy, but his loud machines sound way too much like my arch-nemesis: the vacuum cleaner. Yikes!)When I’m not protecting my yard from big flying birds (someone’s gotta do it!), you’ll find me ready for our next road trip, play session, or cuddle.I’m so ready for a family to love and a backyard to call my own. Will you be my forever? Come meet me— I’ll bring the ball!AARF Houston transports to approved adopters outside of Texas.

Story
Buddy is a 7 year old German Shepherd Mix, was the runt from a litter of seven(7), and the only one with Black and Silver markings. He has been raised with two (2) older German Shepherd Purebreds, and has resiliently recovered from a rear hind left leg amputation in November of 2021, at the age of three (3). The cause of his injury is still unknown, but occurred on our property in November of 2021, when we owned two (2) generations of five (5) German Shepherds. I have since developed health issues that require me to rehome them, due to my inability to help manage multiple large dogs. Buddy is active and very loyal, and deserves to be the only "fur baby" in a household, acquiring as much attention as possible. He is house trained and sociable with children, but has never been raised around cats or other animals. He is accustomed to living on acreage in the country, within a six (6) foot fence, but is still young and smart enough to respond to additional leash training if needed.

Kia is an amazing girl. She is a German Shepard Boxer mix! This girl is still young and she is eager to please and ready to learn! She was in training for a while and knows her basic commands! She is also crate trained! Kia is ready for a family that is going to take her on lots of adventures! She loves to get out and see the world and would thrive with an active family! She is good with large & medium dogs, people, and kids! She is looking for a foster home or her forever family. Kia Lia is amazing with everyone and she gets along well with large and medium dogs, unfortunately not so well with small dogs.  If you are interested in adopting me, please go to the Ozzie and Friends website https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.or g April 9, 2025, 3:09 pm
