Ready to adopt? Start by filling out an application at torinkahoots.com or click the Adoption button below—this is the first step to learn more about our animals and for us to get to know you. Since not all of our pets come into the store each day, adoption meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment.   Mishka is a 5–6-year-old Chihuahua mix with the perfect balance of affection and personality. She loves to cuddle and be close to her people, but she isn’t a couch potato. This little girl still has plenty of spunk and enjoys getting out and about with her family.Mishka gets along very well with other small dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to play with. She walks nicely on a harness and enjoys spending time with her people. She would do best in a home with teenage children or older. At this time, we have not tested Mishka with large dogs, cats, or livestock, so those introductions would need to be handled carefully. If you’re looking for a loving companion who enjoys both snuggle time and adventure, Mishka may be the perfect addition to your family. Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $200  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2768804##

Story
Ready to adopt? Start by filling out an application at torinkahoots.com or click the Adoption button below—this is the first step to learn more about our animals and for us to get to know you. Since not all of our pets come into the store each day, adoption meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment. Meet Toffee  Toffee is a 7–8 month old terrier/Dachshund/Chihuahua mix… or at least that’s our best guess! Whatever her breed, one thing is certain—she has the sweetest heart. Toffee came to us as part of a group of dogs rescued from a condemned home. We don’t know everything she’s experienced, but it’s clear life wasn’t always kind to this little girl. Because of that, she’s cautious when meeting new people and needs a little time to feel safe. But once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll discover the real Toffee. She becomes a loving little shadow who wants nothing more than to curl up beside you, snuggle through the night, and simply be close to her person. She has a gentle soul and a heart that’s just waiting for someone to show her that she’s finally home. Toffee does wonderfully with other dogs, and we think a confident canine companion could help her continue building confidence and show her that the world is a safe place. She would thrive in a calm, patient home where she can blossom at her own pace. Because she’s still learning to trust, we’re looking for an adult-only home at this time. Her compatibility with cats is currently unknown. Toffee isn’t the kind of dog who will run up to every stranger—but if you’re willing to give her a little patience, she’ll reward you with a lifetime of loyalty, quiet companionship, and endless cuddles. Some dogs need to be rescued. Others just need someone to believe in them. We think Toffee deserves both.  Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $200.00  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2791619##

Story
Ready to adopt? Start by filling out an application at torinkahoots.com or click the Adoption button below—this is the first step to learn more about our animals and for us to get to know you. Since not all of our pets come into the store each day, adoption meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment. Some dogs need saving. Other dogs need someone willing to help them believe they’re finally safe. Maple Bear is the second kind. Maple Bear is a 7–8-month-old puppy who we believe is a Rat Terrier/Deer Chihuahua mix. With her adorable long legs and gentle eyes, she’s impossible not to fall in love with. Maple Bear came to us after being rescued from a condemned property where 15 dogs were removed. We were able to take eight of them into our rescue, and it’s clear that life wasn’t always kind to this sweet girl. While we may never know everything she’s been through, we’re determined to make sure the rest of her story is filled with love, patience, and security. She is naturally shy and takes time to trust new people. Because of that, we’d love for potential adopters to visit her several times before taking her home. Spending 30 minutes to an hour sitting with her, holding her, or simply walking around the store together will help build the trust she’ll need to feel safe and confident. Maple Bear does wonderfully with small dogs. Larger, high-energy dogs can be overwhelming for her, although she has done well around calm, laid-back large dogs. Cats, livestock, and children are unknown. To give her the best chance to succeed, we’re looking for a home without children under 15 years old. Maple Bear is scheduled to be spayed on August 7 and cannot go home until after her spay surgery. Before adoption, she will be spayed, microchipped, current on her puppy vaccinations, have a one-year rabies vaccine, and has already tested negative for heartworm. Please note: Adoptions will be paused August 9–16 while our adoption coordinator is out of town. If you’re interested in Maple Bear, we encourage you to come meet her before then so you can begin building a relationship with her. Maple Bear isn’t looking for perfection—she’s looking for someone willing to go at her pace. The family she chooses will have the incredible privilege of watching a timid little puppy discover what it means to feel safe, loved, and truly at home. We believe her happiest days are still ahead, and we can’t wait to help her find the people who will make the rest of her story everything she deserves. Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $350.00  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   ##2801069##
