Story
Meet Romeo — a sweetnatured little Feist mix with the softest heart. At just 11 months old and around 28 lbs, Romeo is a smallboned, athletic, long-legged perfectly sized companion who fits easily into almost any home. His short, easycare coat and his expressive ears — up, down, folded, or doing the classic oneuponedown when he’s curious — make him even more lovable. People guess all kinds of things when they meet him — Chihuahua, Boxer, maybe a little Feist — honestly, he might be all of them. What’s a Feist?Feists are known for being small, smart, peopleoriented dogs with big hearts. They’re affectionate, loyal, gentle in the home, playful outside, and they bond deeply with their person. They’re active without being hyper, alert without being loud, and they love being part of a family. Romeo has all of these wonderful traits. Romeo’s story:Romeo has lived in a shelter kennel for almost his entire life — since he was a 4 months old. Despite that, he is one of the happiest, most sociable dogs you’ll ever meet. He loves people, loves other dogs, and loves being included in whatever you’re doing. He’s a soft, sensitive soul who just wants to feel safe and loved. Because he spent nearly his whole life in a kennel, crating is not allowed for him. If he needs to be safely contained when you leave, a baby gate in a doorway works perfectly. He does very well with this setup. He does not chew, and he is a good boy.  Dogfriendly?Absolutely. Romeo plays beautifully with other dogs. He’s gentle, respectful, and always waits his turn. He reads other dogs well and joins in when invited. He’s the kind of easygoing companion other dogs feel comfortable around. Adoption Criteria:• Fully fencedin yard (no invisible fences)• One other friendly dog in the home is welcome• Children 7 years of age or older• Someone home more during the day — he thrives on companionship and routine• No crating — use a baby gate if he needs to be safely contained  Romeo enjoys exploring the yard, following you around, going for rides, and settling in for quiet time. He’s not pushy or demanding — just a sweet boy who blossoms with kindness and stability. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $195. Romeo is being fostered in Fort Wayne, Indiana  ##2766826##

Story
Rocket Man has been in rescue for quite a long time. Some people think that means there is something wrong with the dog. Not always the case - as with Rocket Man. He is a short, stout fella who loves people. All he wants is to be your buddy - to go on car rides and hikes- and sleep by your side. He has a great personality for being your number 1. He does live with another dog, but he would need to have a meet and greet with any other dogs. Why hasn't he been chosen? We have several ordinary looking dogs who are lingering in rescue. They aren't flashy with beautiful curls or long, fluffy coats and blue eyes. They are just ordinary looking. Don't be fooled by the black or brown dogs. They can be some of the most special personalities out there. All they need is a chance to show off. And that, in a nutshell, is Rocket Man.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN.
