Story
This sweet dog needs a quiet and calm space to retire in. I have had her for a little over a decade and giving her away is the last thing I want to do, but my circumstances are becoming dire and I have no one else to give her to. I cannot give her the care she needs anymore, and I'd like to make sure she goes to someone who can both provide that and has experience with senior dogs. Baby is not too old to play, not too old to be excited for food and prance around, she is still so full of life and love I would be shattered to give her to the shelter. She is a very cuddly dog, she prioritizes comfort and food above anything, she loves to be warm. She has her boundaries and will express them very loudly with other animals, it would be best for a slow introduction if you have other animals in the house. I am prioritizing people who have experience and understand how dogs behave in general. Her ideal home would be someplace quiet and cozy, with people who love to cuddle and feed her.

Story
Hi.  I'm Nugget.  I am about 9 years old.  I am short &long like a corgi, but my tail is bigger& I am black.  My owners were suckered into a DNA tests for dogs, the results said I am part miniature schnauzer, chihuahua,& 50% "herding breed."  My one mistake in life is that I am too loyal.  I pick a person, &that person is someone I will lay down my life for.  My current person adopted me when she was newly married w/out kids.  She has since had 3 kids& they are now mobile.  She doesn't like it when I chase&nip their heels/feet.  I see them as cattle or sheep& want to get them in line! I don't hate dogs but I don't love them either.  I wanna be ur only animal.  I cannot peacefully reside with a cat.  If u have chickens, don't even think about bringing me into ur home.  They would be goners.  If u think u'll fall in love&reproduce one day, you're probably not a good fit for me either.Got a place 4 me in ur heart and in your home? Get ahold of my current person.  Her name is Dara Stephens
