Story
Meet Cleo, a one-year-old Feist mix who approaches every day like it's the best day ever. Life is one big adventure in her eyes, and she's determined not to miss a second of it. This spunky girl is full of energy, always ready to play, explore, and learn something new. Cleo is incredibly people-oriented and has never met a stranger she didn't want to be friends with. She's lived with kids before and would happily recruit the whole family for a game of fetch, a walk around the neighborhood, or whatever fun is happening next. Cleo is smart, eager to learn, and loves having a job to do, whether that's mastering new tricks or showing off how fast she can zoom around the yard. She's the kind of dog who will keep you smiling with her goofy enthusiasm and contagious excitement. We're still getting to know Cleo's play style with other dogs, so she's continuing to meet canine friends while we learn what suits her best. One thing we already know? She brings a whole lot of joy wherever she goes and is ready to find a family that's just as excited about life as she is.

Story
Maggie is a healthy, loving Mountain Feist. She is crate and leash/harness trained. She loves to go on walks and is an excellent watch-dog. Maggie is initially anxious when around people who she is not familiar with, new objects and new situations. Her anxious reactions include tense muscles and barking - but, not aggressive. She is much less anxious than when she was adopted 4-years ago. She spent her first nine-months outside on a line, not seeing another dog and few humans, and she has come a long way since then. Maggie is apprehensive when first meeting another dog; but, not aggressive. If the other dog is not aggressive, she quickly warms up, especially for smaller and younger dogs, usually indicating she wants to play. Maggie has never been around cats, so we don't know if she would get along with cats. Maggie immediately seems to like children based on how she reacts when she encounters children on walks. She has not had an opportunity to interact with children for more than a brief encounter. DOB: 8/17/21 Maggie is spayed, current on her vaccines and microchipped. If interested in Maggie, please fill out an adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/MFAR/42224-mfar-adoption-application

Story
Meet Ophelia, a 7-year-old Shar Pei mix who looks like someone ironed all the wrinkles out of a Shar Pei. She's calm, cool, and collected, with a gentle soul that's happiest when she's close to her favorite people. Ophelia can be a little nervous when meeting someone new, but give her a little patience (and maybe a few treats), and you'll quickly earn her trust. Once she settles in, she's the kind of dog who quietly sticks by your side, content just to be together. Her favorite outings are leisurely walks where she can stop to sniff every interesting smell along the way. She's wonderful with cats, but she'd prefer a home without small animals. Ophelia is also selective about her dog friends and would be happiest as your one and only canine companion. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who appreciates the simple things in life, loves treats, and wants nothing more than to be near her people, Ophelia is ready to find her perfect match.
