FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED Meet Hannibal! Hannibal’s story starts the way too many do… tied to a tree and left behind. Now he’s here with us, trying to figure out what comes next. Let’s be honest — Hannibal is not your typical “easy” dog. And that’s exactly why he needs the right person. Hannibal is a chihuahua mix who struggles in a crate. The kennel environment is hard on him, and he lets us know it. But once he’s out? He settles, does his own thing, and is much more manageable. He is: - Potty trained - Independent - Not overly needy or clingy He is NOT: - A dress-up dog - A dog for small kids - A dog for a first-time owner Hannibal isn’t going to be the dog that instantly melts into your arms. He’s the kind of dog who needs patience, space, and someone who understands that trust takes time. He’s not a bad dog — he just hasn’t had a fair shot yet. He’s shown positive interest in other dogs, but we also think he may do best as an only pet where he can decompress and settle in at his own pace. We are unsure how he is with cats. What Hannibal needs right now is a foster-to-adopt home so we can truly see who he is outside of the shelter environment. Experienced homes only. Serious inquiries only. This is not a “jump in and figure it out” dog — he needs someone who understands dogs that require patience and structure. Meet Kobe! Kobe is an adorable little Chihuahua mix believed to be around 3 years old. This sweet boy loves being around people and enjoys spending time with other pets. He’s playful, affectionate, and always ready for fun with his dog friends. Kobe does well with other dogs and has been around cats, although he can sometimes get excited and chase them when he wants to play. He likes kids too, but because he doesn’t enjoy being poked or handled too roughly, a home with older, respectful children would be the best fit for him. Kobe is fully vetted and ready to find a loving forever home where he can be spoiled and loved the way he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion with a playful personality and a big heart, Kobe may be the perfect match for you!

Bitsy originally belonged to my niece who abandoned her at my sister's house. My sister cannot have her so I thought she would have fun with my 4 Boston Terriers. I was wrong. Its too many for her. 1 other dog may be fine.Bitsy was used to being the only dog and was never social so she gets very angry when my dogs play with each other and nips at them. She reacts by barking and mauling a stuffed animals when she sees any other kind of animal on tv. She has calmed down a bit since she got here but I can't continue to separate them. But her stress level is still high and she needs a calmer home with 1 small/med or no other dogs & cats.Bitsy uses the push buttons to tell you Outside and Cookie and Hungry..it's so cute...Shes a great companion, loves a bath and will give you so much love& kisses..She's only 5 so lots of time to learn new tricks!! She's very vocal, so she has earned the nickname "Bitsy Backup Singer". I love her. Its just not fair to put each dog away for hours to separate.
