Story
Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Hank and I am approximately 18 months old. When I got to NBRAN, I visited the vet and got all my vaccines and I was neutered. I am heartworm negative and I take my monthly heartworm preventatives like a good boy! I am a very handsome male French Brittany, if I do say so myself. Actually, everyone that meets me says I am very handsome! The only thing cuter than my adorable looks is my bigger than life comedic personality. My foster mom thinks I am hilarious! At 30 lbs., I am a little guy. I can be very shy, but I can also be very loving. At times, I get intimidated by loud noises. I lived in a kennel with a concrete floor and did not play or walk in the grass much. That makes going to the potty on the grass at my foster home confusing for me. I am modest when I do my business, so I like my foster mom to look away and give me privacy. I am almost totally housetrained, but my foster mom lets me wear a belly band to keep me from getting the urge to hike my leg in the house. I am extremely smart and I really like to please my human. I would love a home with a doggie friend that would help me learn the ropes and be my playmate. I have never been around cats, but I do not think I would like them very much! My foster family loves me but wants me to have a family of my very own. I want a home with a fenced backyard to run in, and a doggie door would help me get 100% housetrained (only 10% to go), although it is not a “must have.”  I am more motivated by affection than food, even though I love chicken and pupperoni sticks. Before bed I even like a Milkbone! I walk politely on a leash, enjoy riding in the car and I am not destructive. While I can be reactive to loud noises, I am not particularly scared of thunderstorms. Do you think you would like me to be part of your family? If you have patience and a loving home where I can have fenced yard, I would love to come live with you! My adoption fee is $400 to help offset the expenses associated with getting me (and other fabulous, rescued Brittanys) in excellent condition for a fabulous new home. You do not have to live in Tennessee, NBRAN will transport me up to 1400 miles to my furever home. Please contact Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com or Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com to find out more about me! Story
Meet Your New Best Friend! Jayce is a 3-year-old Brittnay Mix who is looking for his forever home. While he might be a little shy when you first meet him, give him a moment to come out of his shell, and you'll find a funny, bouncy, and deeply loving companion. Jayce is a "paws-on" kind of dog! He is famous for his hugs and will spend his time trying to wrap his paws around you if he isn't already trying to curl up in your lap. He is the perfect blend of a lounge partner and a playmate. Because of his cautious temperament, Jayce has some specific needs to help him feel safe and successful: No Other Dogs: He prefers being the "only child" and can be reactive toward strange dogs. Quiet Environment: He would not enjoy the high-stress environment of a dog park. Patient Humans: He needs an owner who understands he needs to approach new things at his own pace. No Strangers (at first): He can be vocal with people he doesn't know, but his loyalty to his inner circle is unmatched. If you have the patience to let him blossom, you will be rewarded with a level of love and loyalty that only a dog like Jayce can give. He is ready to be your most devoted friend. Jayce's adoption fee is $325 to offset the cost of vetting and help other rescues in need. He is currently located in Georgia and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad. Story
Meet Duke Riley — Your New Best Friend Is Waiting If you’ve been wishing for a dog who can play hard, love big, and cuddle even bigger, Duke Riley just might be the boy you’ve been waiting for. ❤️ Duke is a handsome 5-year-old, 58-lb boy with a wonderful combination of playful energy and a tender, affectionate heart. He’s past those crazy puppy days, but don’t tell Duke that—this guy still knows how to have FUN! Balls? Absolutely! Water? Yes, please! Toys? Bring them on! Fetch? Duke is ready whenever you are! ❤️ Cuddles? Now you’re speaking his language. Duke loves being part of whatever his people are doing. Give him a ball and he’s ready for an adventure; give him a comfy spot beside you and he’s just as happy settling in for some quality snuggle time. And this handsome boy comes with some pretty impressive manners, too! Duke is housebroken and crate trained, knows his name, and already knows sit and shake. He’s eager to please, loves interacting with his people, and there’s something especially sweet about a big boy offering you his paw. Duke is up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative, and on heartworm prevention. But the best thing about Duke isn't something you can put on a medical record or a checklist. It's his heart. Duke is one of those dogs who wants to share his life with someone. He wants a person to throw his ball, watch him splash in the water, laugh at his silly moments, and then welcome him close when the playing is done. At five years old, Duke isn't looking for just another stop along the way. He's ready for his person. His family. His forever. Imagine coming home to that happy face. Weekend games of fetch. Summer days playing in the water. A big furry head resting beside you at night because Duke has decided there is nowhere he'd rather be. He already knows how to be a good boy. Now he just needs someone to show him what it feels like to be somebody's forever boy. ❤️ Duke Riley has the love to give, all that's missing is YOU.  The adoption fee for OK/Duke Riley, who lives in Tulsa, OK area  is $275, (which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making OK/Duke Riley part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Please let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  Also, please email the state coordinator of OK/Duke Riley-Melinde Waddle @ macgammy@gmail.com  Once approved by your state coordinator, I will be happy to  talk to you about Duke Riley. Transportation can be arranged up  to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.    September 17, 2026, 6:08 pm
