Story
Sadie is 6 years old, naturally calm but does still have puppy energy when she goes to the park. She is a timid dog and is shy around strangers whether 4 legged or 2 legged. She enjoys a lazy Sunday as well as walking a 5K with her human. Sadie is very loyal and once she builds that bond she will be glued to you. Would be best suited in a household with similar sized dogs. She sometimes has anxiety when in new situations.

Story
Precious is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting her, please contact the shelter so we can coordinate with her foster family!Precious may not have had the easiest start in life, but you would never know it from her joyful spirit. Before coming to the shelter, she spent most of her life in a home with many other dogs, often having to compete for food and attention. Despite that, Precious has never let her past define her. Today, she’s a happy, wiggly girl who greets each day with a smile and reminds us just how resilient dogs truly are. She absolutely adores people and will happily soak up every scratch, cuddle, and bit of attention you have to offer. Her favorite place is outside, whether she’s lounging in the sunshine, chasing toys, or taking a gentle stroll. Because of her past, Precious has participated in many dog meet-and-greets at the shelter as an effort to get a better idea of her comfort levels! She is polite and friendly with other dogs but prefers to keep things low-key. Rather than roughhousing, she’d much rather enjoy a peaceful walk alongside a calm, respectful canine companion. Loud, pushy, or overly energetic dogs can make her feel intimidated, so she’d thrive with a gentle dog who respects her space—she has been doing wonderfully with the dogs in her foster home! We will be requiring a dog meet and greet prior to adopting if there are fellow canine friends in your home! Precious has appeared potty trained in her foster home. It can be difficult to know for certain in a shelter environment, and with a consistent routine in a home, she has been thriving. She already knows the cue “sit,” walks nicely on a leash, and every now and then gets the cutest little zoomies when she’s extra excited! Precious is such a kind-hearted girl. She has missed out on so much already, and now she’s simply looking for someone willing to give her the time, patience, and love she has always deserved. In return, she’ll give you a lifetime of loyalty, gentle companionship, and endless wiggles. We know her brightest days are still ahead—and we can’t wait for the right family to help her write that next chapter.
