Story
This is Ellie! We took her in to help some friends. She does get along with our other dog, and our friends dogs. We’ve not seen her with cats or other animals. She is very sweet, snuggly and has been good with our kids. We were told she is just over a year old, we have not had her long ourselves but she is house trained besides some chewing still, and knows basic commands. I think with the right people she will be able to learn a lot! She’s very smart and intuitive. She needs a vet visit, she has not yet been. She loves to be outside! She does ok on a leash, but was not leash trained when we got her. Shes very trainable, she’s a fast learner. She was very shy when we first got her, but after an adjustment period she has not been. So definitely expect an adjustment period as she is a puppy, and it would be a new home/space/situation for her.

Story
Meet Cooper – our tender-hearted, incredibly special boy.Cooper is the kind of dog who doesn’t just want a home — he wants his person. His perfect match will have patience, a gentle touch, and a readiness to remind him every single day what a very good boy he is. Cooper was a deeply loved family dog before coming into our care, and we’ve made it our mission to ensure he continues to feel that same warmth and security. When he first arrived, he was shy and a little shut down. We weren’t sure when he’d feel brave enough to let us in… and then one day, he did. Watching him bloom has been so special. While Cooper may need a moment to warm up to new people and environments, he has done wonderfully meeting new shelter friends. With a little time, understanding, and lots of love, he truly shines. Once he trusts you, he’s easygoing, affectionate, and happiest simply being near his people. In his previous home, Cooper lived successfully with other dogs, cats, and older children. He did well with everyone, but as always, thoughtful introductions are important. We’re happy to schedule a dog meet-and-greet prior to adoption if needed! This handsome guy also comes with great manners. Cooper attended puppy classes when he was younger — and it shows! He’s wicked smart and loves showing off what he knows: Sit, lay down, wait, touch and heel. He walks beautifully on leash, is potty trained, and crate trained. Cooper has medium energy. He’d love regular walks, time to sniff and explore the outdoors, and plenty of quality time with his people. Cooper truly is something special. He deserves a home that will nurture his sensitive heart and continue building his confidence. We are fully committed to seeing him succeed and finding the family who will treasure him the way he deserves. If you think Cooper might be your perfect match, we would absolutely love for you to come meet him.

Story
we are in Waco Texas not Anchorage ak I don’t know how to change the location She’s a good girl just needs a big yard (our pool takes up 3/4 of our yard) and same size or bigger dog friends, she’s kennel trained, will come with kennel. She has a tendency to chew so needs to be able to stay busy! She is great with kids, she’s just too big for our 4 year old and knocks her over 9/10 times when trying to play, so recommending older/teen aged kids. It’s breaking our hearts but she deserves more than what we can provide for her.
