Story
With her big, soft, hopeful eyes and gentle demeanor, Libby is sure to steal your heart the moment you meet her. This sweet, joyful girl has come a long way—from struggling to find enough food to nurse her four pups, to now seeking love and affection from every kind soul she meets. Libby weighs just under 40 lbs and is happily reclaiming her figure now that her mom duties are done. She's affectionate, responsive, and especially loves attention from people of all ages. She gets along well with other dogs but would prefer a cat-free home. While she’s still learning to trust leashes and tethers, Libby is making great progress walking on a loose leash and is now asking to be included in and enjoying daily walks. She likes being in the house and close to people. She knows how to use a doggie door and has had no "potty accidents" in her foster home. What she needs most is a patient, loving home where she can continue to fulfill her potential. With a little time, love, and understanding while Libby learns new rules in her new life, she will make her your “fur-ever” companion. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. Story
Meet Sadie! Sadie is a 1.5-year-old Lab mix with a playful spirit, a gentle heart, and eyes that will melt you instantly. She’s as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, and she’s ready to share her love with a family of her very own. This smart young girl is a quick learner and is progressing wonderfully with her commands and leash walking—she just needs a bit more guidance as she grows. Sadie is potty trained (she’ll even go on command!) and makes bedtime a breeze. She’s fully crate trained and sleeps through the night without a peep, but she does just as well uncrated. Whether it’s snuggling up in your bed or curling into her own, she’s happy wherever you are. Full of energy and joy, Sadie loves to play—especially with other dogs (she has a soft spot for the boys!) and her favorite toys. When playtime is over, she’s just as content to curl up beside you for cuddles and belly rubs. She’s also cat- and kitten-friendly! Sadie is a wonderful companion who warms up to new people quickly. She may greet you with a few barks at first, but give her a minute—and maybe a treat—and she’ll be your best friend for life. If you’re looking for an amazing addition to your family, come meet Sadie. This sweet, spirited girl is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and loyalty. 🐾💛 Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue.
