Story
With her big, soft, hopeful eyes and gentle demeanor, Libby is sure to steal your heart the moment you meet her. This sweet, joyful girl has come a long way—from struggling to find enough food to nurse her four pups, to now seeking love and affection from every kind soul she meets. Libby weighs just under 40 lbs and is happily reclaiming her figure now that her mom duties are done. She's affectionate, responsive, and especially loves attention from people of all ages. She gets along well with other dogs but would prefer a cat-free home. While she’s still learning to trust leashes and tethers, Libby is making great progress walking on a loose leash and is now asking to be included in and enjoying daily walks. She likes being in the house and close to people. She knows how to use a doggie door and has had no "potty accidents" in her foster home. What she needs most is a patient, loving home where she can continue to fulfill her potential. With a little time, love, and understanding while Libby learns new rules in her new life, she will make her your “fur-ever” companion. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com The fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/ When you are on the UAF website Select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. You could be a life saver! Help us save more lives by fostering a dog or cat. Story
🐾 Meet Sadie! 🐾 Hi there! My name is Sadie — sweet, adorable, loving, and all-around amazing! My foster mom says I’m all of those things wrapped up in one beautiful, happy package. I’m a smart girl who learns quickly and loves to please. I get along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, and I’m always ready for some playtime with my favorite toys. I’m also great at sharing and absolutely adore belly rubs (but really, any pets, hugs, or kisses are welcome!). I settled into my foster home right away and am crate trained. I’m still learning a few manners — like not jumping up or sneaking things off counters — but I’m young and eager to learn, especially with a little gentle guidance. I make a great watchdog and will let you know when someone’s at the door or in the driveway, but I quiet down as soon as you tell me everything’s okay. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, and happy companion to fill your home with joy, my foster mom says: 💖 “If you want a wonderful girl — here she is!” 💖 Fill out an adoption application to meet Sadie and see just how special she is! Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. Story
Ritchie is a yellow lab mix with a big heart! This sweet, playful boy is equal parts lovebug and goofball — always ready to make you smile. He’s an athletic, curious pup who enjoys his daily walks and never says no to a good play session. Ritchie loves his toys — he’ll proudly parade around with one in his mouth like it’s his prize possession! Just be warned: stuffed toys don’t stand a chance against his enthusiasm, so durable toys are definitely his best match. Ritchie tends to gravitate toward women and can be a bit timid around men at first. Once he learns he can trust you, though, his love knows no bounds. With patience and kindness, he’ll show you just how affectionate and loyal he can be. Ritchie gets along well with other dogs and even cats, making him a wonderful companion for a home with furry friends. Smart and eager to learn, Ritchie is the kind of loyal companion who will easily become your best friend. Whether he’s making you laugh with his silly antics, impressing you with his cleverness, or simply lying at your feet with unconditional love, Ritchie is ready to be part of a family who will cherish him as much as he’ll cherish them. If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and loyal pup who will fill your life with joy (and maybe a few shredded plushies), Ritchie is your guy! 🦴✨ Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue.
