Sophie is a very sweet, friendly, affectionate girl who we rescued in February, 2019 from a house where she was left behind when her owners moved after being evicted. Neighbors told us that she has had at least one litter of puppies that all passed away because her cruel owners wouldn't let her get to them so she has been through a lot but has also come a long way! She is currently in boarding and has become a favorite of the manager and staff that are taking care of her. Everyone loves this special girl! Due to Sophie's traumatic past she has anxiety and can be reactive with chaotic and noisy situations so she is on Prozac, (recommended by her veterinarian) which does help. One of her rescuers and a volunteer with our rescue has taken Sophie on regular trips to local parks which Sophie really loved! She loves going for walks, is good on a leash, with car rides, and does well in a crate. She's also house broken. Before going into boarding she was in a foster home with many dogs and two horses and it was a lot for her. She is afraid of horses and would do very well as an only pet where she can get all of the attention that she deserves. A supporter of our rescue has sponsored her adoption fee in the hopes of getting her out of boarding and into a forever home so there is NO ADOPTION FEE for Sophie with an approved adopter! Princess is a really sweet, friendly, Lab/Hound mix that was with our rescue before and adopted out to a couple and lived with them for several years until they ended up getting seperated so Princess was returned to our rescue and is once again looking for a forever home and a permanent soft place to fall. She is currently being fostered and her foster mom says that Princess is a happy girl, is good with other dogs and loves to chase balls and even brings them back. She's smart and knows some basic commands and is well behaved. She has previously been around cats and seemed to have no issues with them. This cutie is looking for her special person or family and would make a wonderful pet! Betty is a really sweet girl who spent much of her young life on the street being care for by a kind homeless woman. She had at least two litters of puppies. She is very playful, friendly, and affectionate. She loves to sit with her person and give kisses. Betty is good with most other dogs and tends to have a dominant personality so she needs to be with other dogs that do not mind being submissive to her. Betty is a little unsure of men initially but will quickly come around with patience, love, and some guidance. She is good with kids twelve and older. She has a lot of love to give and is a favorite of the founder of the rescue. Betty is currently in a boarding facility in Augusta, Georgia because there just aren't enough foster homes and her adoption fee has been sponsored by a supporter of our rescue in the hopes of finding her a forever home, so there is no adoption fee for Betty! We would love to get her out of boarding and into a loving home!
