Story
Cali is a sweet girl once found wandering the countryside in a near by county. She was in a foster home briefly...then adopted, but returned because of her high energy level. She then moved to another foster home for several years as since COVID dog adoption are slow. She recently moved into boarding facility as her foster Dad lost his home during Hurricane Helene. Cali needs a home with a secure fence...preferalby a privacy fence and a nice size yard to play in when outside. She is very treat motivated, but because once out on the street she still tends to take treats roughly because overly excited about them. So no children under 12 years of age. She also tends to resource guard her food so does not need to be in a home with other animals that graze on their food all day. Cali will need to eat separately. She once had a best buddy Cooper, but was even wary about him being around her food, treats, and sometimes toys. She needs to be the dominant dog in the house to ensure everyone gets along..and not sure she would do well with cats or young children. Cali is very excitable and feels like a train if she runs into you. Having said all this...don't be afraid. She is a very sweet and playful girl. She loves hard rubber toys and she snuggles and gives kisses to the kennel workers.

Story
Sophie is 6 and a half year old lab mix that was surrendered to the rescue approximately 5 years ago after having been rescued by a neighbord. Sophie was abandoned by her evicted owners and left to fend for herself. She had been tethered up on the back yard...had several litters of pups and eventually broke her tether and was living on the front porch. Neighbors made a bed of blankets for her and were feeding her. Sophie has spent most of her time in a boarding facility. She takes a little time to warm up to people, but is very loving once she trusts a person. She is not trusting of kids so adult household only. She is not good with other dogs or cats. She loves to go on walks and loves to play with her toys. She would do best in a calm household with very little coming and going of folks.

Story
Brian was born while in rescue care. His mother appears to be a beagle/chi mix, but as the puppies grow we are starting to think daddy might be a larger dog like a lab. He is one of three puppies that survive. Foster mom can tell you all about the personality, but if anything like his mama he is going to be a great dog.

UP FOR ADOPTION!Let’s be honest: Betty has been in the rescue and living at a boarding facility for far too long, which means she practically runs the place. She’s mastered the art of the puppy-dog eyes, her kennel manners are pristine, and she is officially overqualified for shelter life. It’s time for a promotion to Full-Time Family Member. The Quick Stats:• Age: Mid-age adult (the perfect age where puppy behaviors are a distant memory!).• Major: Advanced Snuggle-ology with a minor in Continuous Kisses.• Ideal Co-Pilot: Someone who appreciates a confident, affectionate queen who knows exactly how to claim the best spot on the sofa. Why has Betty been overlooked? Betty spent the early part of her life on the streets. Thankfully, she was kept safe by a kind homeless woman who looked out for her before she came to us. She’s been a hardworking mama to at least two litters of puppies, but those days are officially behind her! She is now spayed, fully up-to-date on all her shots, and ready to be pampered as the center of someone's universe.Because of her chaotic past, Betty is looking for an adult-only home (or families with kids 12+) where she can fully relax. Her Perfect Day Looks Like:1. A fun, silly playtime session in the yard—she is incredibly playful and friendly!2. Helping you clear your inbox by acting as a highly efficient, ultra-affectionate weighted lap blanket.3. Sleeping soundly at night as your dedicated bed and couch buddy.🐕 The Roommate Match: Betty is great with some other dogs, but she definitely has a "boss babe," dominant personality. If you have a laid-back, submissive dog who doesn't mind letting Betty take the lead, they will be fast friends!Betty has a lifetime of love built up and she is ready to pack her bags today. If you have room on your couch (and in your heart) for a loyal sidekick who will never let you watch a movie alone, drop a comment, send us a PM, or fill out the adoption form at the link in our bio! https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ke3029&method=online_form_html&formid=21Share this post to help Betty find her person! 🤍#LongStayDog #ShelterDogSpecial #AdoptDontShop #RescueDog #BettyTheQueen #CouchPotatoDog

My name is Blue, and I’ve been waiting a while for my story to be told....so here it goes.""Blue is a handsome, 7-year-old Labrador Retriever/terrier mix who is the perfect blend of playful energy and seasoned maturity. At 55 pounds, he’s the ultimate medium-sized companion—big enough for great outdoor adventures, but the perfect size for couch snuggles.Sadly, Blue was surrendered by his previous owner through no fault of his own. Despite being passed over for a smaller dog, Blue hasn't let that dim his spirit. He is a happy-go-lucky guy who is fully house-trained, fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and ready to walk right into your heart.🌟 Here are a few of his favorite things:Fetch Champion: If you throw a ball, Blue is in absolute paradise.
