Story
Asher and Opal are shy Labrador/Beagle mixes looking for a special angel to give them the home they have never known. Most of their previous life was spent outside without much human interaction. Now that they have come into our care, all have blossomed. Asher is two 4 years 7 months old and the mother of two year old daughter Opal. Both are medium sized dogs and weigh less than thirty pounds. This is a bonded tight-knit family that loves each other very much. Asher, and Opal do best when they are together. Consequently, we hope to adopt them to the same family. These pups are looking for a simple life with a family that enjoys life in the slow lane. They need a calm quiet household without a lot of people coming and going. An adult home or one with older children would be best. These girls are really very sweet but quite timid and reserved. They are perfectly content to go about their day as you do whatever it is you need to do. Most of the time, you will find them curled up together for a nap or taking turns with a chew toy. They are quiet, well behaved, and housebroken if kept on a schedule. None are really into walks, but they will follow you out nicely to their own fenced in backyard. They love running around together and spending some time outside exploring. They are great with other dogs. A good meal, a warm bed, and a soft gentle voice to tell them they are loved are all they require. They really are quite easy to please. If you have room in your family for three dogs, please consider Asher and Opal. It would really warm our hearts to see them in a forever home of their own.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Meet Oaky! He is a 64lb yellow Labrador Retriever mix and 3 1/2 years old. He is a friendly dog that is a good fit for an adult, or family with older children. He does well with some dogs but cats are not a good fit. He thoroughly enjoys all the attention of the volunteers and looks forward to outdoor playtime. A home with a large securely fenced-in backyard would be ideal to give him the freedom to run and play. Oaky was an outdoor dog prior to coming into our shelter. He is housebroken but might need a little additional training. He really enjoys the comforts of his climate controlled kennel and does his best to keep it clean. Oaky is the type of dog that is happy just hanging out with you. He would love to spend the best years of his life with you.To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved. Story
Meet Ebony and Sasha! These two girls are Lab mixes that came in together but do not have to be adopted together. They are very sweet and gentle pups who love attention and playing! If you want twice the fun you could consider adopting them both to keep each other company while you are busy. Each pup would do well on their own and will make great companions. Any family would be lucky to have one of these sweet girls, maybe it will be you! A home with a fenced yard is a must for these playful puppies. Will allow for lots of exercise and the confidence to succeed with their housetraining. To adopt this pet, please go to hsnwga.org, 'Adoption' then 'Application for Adoption', to complete an online application to be preapproved.
