Story
🐾 Meet Ashton – The Resilient Flat-Coated Retriever Mix! 🐾Ashton came to us as a stray in poor condition, with mats so severe in her fur that she required general anesthesia to be shaved completely. Despite her difficult past, Ashton’s spirit remains strong, and she continues to trust and bond with people. Her coat is now starting to grow back, and she’s becoming more comfortable every day.Ashton is a sweet, gentle soul who gets along wonderfully with people, including children. She’s a water-loving dog, and we frequently send her out on "doggy day outs," especially during the heart of lake season. Her love for water is unmatched, and she thrives in an active environment. Most of the time, when you walk by Ashton’s cage in the dog wing, you’ll find her with a toy in her mouth, eager and ready to play. She’s great with other dogs of all personalities, though she does tend to correct those who need it. While she hasn't been tested with cats, when she’s in the lobby, she typically ignores our resident cats and doesn’t show any interest in them.Ashton is spayed and is fully up to date on her medical care and ready for her forever home.

Story
Layla is a sweet girl who would do best in a home with no other pets or small children under 10. She would love a home that has an active outdoor lifestyle as she loves the outdoors. Due to declining disability I am unable to provide her with enough activity . She doesn't get along with our senior dog and bullies her. She also resource guards my 6 year old to the point of knocking him over and sitting over him which makes him fearful of her. I can provide more detailed information to those interested in giving her a loving active home. Layla is allergic to chicken.

Story
Hiya! I`m Oreo!Weight 50.6#I will need to be placed in a home with older children or an adult-only home.I`m a sweet boy, but I can be a little nervous for initial greetings. Luckily, food is a great motivator and an easy way to become quick friends! Once I`m familar, I can be such an adorable, lovable sweetheart. Since I`m still a puppy, I`ll need someone who is prepared to put in the time and work to help train me and guide me through puppyhood. I can be a bit selective with my dog friends and that`s only because I`m a delicate boy, and I`m not a fan of rough-housing and getting pushed around by other dogs. FWACC reserves the right to place me in the best fit home.

Rory has made tremendous steps in working around men. One of her walkers is a male and she does great with him. Still a bit shy around new people but once she warms up shes so smart and funny. Does not do well around livestock.
