Calling all Lab lovers! Friendly, outgoing, intelligent, energetic, and loyal? HSOC is happy to deliver. Meet MJ, a Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 67 pounds and around 2 years old. This sweet girl welcomed a litter of puppies just about two months ago and now it is her turn to be somebody’s baby. MJ has not met a stranger here at HSOC. She has love to give for days. She can be a little jumpy when she first meets you, but once that initial excitement passes, she becomes the perfect lounging buddy. Whether she is curled up by your side or resting at your feet, MJ is happiest just being near her people. If you leave MJ alone in the play yard for even a moment, you will come back to find her soaking up the sunshine. Even if there is only a tiny sunny spot, she will find it. She glows even more when she is relaxed and content. This mama bear has a gentle heart. We believe MJ would do well in a home with children. She has not yet played directly with other dogs at HSOC, but she has done well through fences and has lived with other dogs in the past. A meet and greet is required for any canine siblings. Meet Reggie! Reggie is a big, lovable goofball who is overflowing with personality and heart. He absolutely loves people and thrives on attention—being close to his humans is his happy place. Whether it’s playtime, outdoor adventures, or simply hanging out nearby, Reggie wants to be part of it all. He enjoys playing and retrieving, loves being outside, and has an impressive vertical leap when he’s excited to meet new friends—his enthusiasm is contagious! Reggie seems to do well with other dogs and shows no negative reactions to them. He also doesn’t have a strong reaction to cats, making him a potentially flexible companion. At night, Reggie is a dream—he sleeps quietly on the floor in the bedroom with no fuss at all. He’s almost fully house trained and just needs a little consistency to get there completely. Reggie will need continued leash training, as he currently pulls when walking, but with his eagerness to please, he should do well with guidance and training. Because Reggie is a large dog with lots of enthusiasm, he would do best in a home with children 5 and up who can handle his size and energy. Reggie is a loyal, affectionate boy who will make an incredible companion for a family ready to give him structure, love, and room to enjoy life. How much more handsome can you get than Mr. Otter himself? This big oaf is about as classic as dogs come. Otter is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever mix weighing around 66 pounds and approximately 2 years old. And yes, he comes fully equipped with all the beloved Lab traits. He is goofy, playful, loyal, friendly, and outgoing. Otter is always ready for a good time. Playtime is his favorite time, and he brings big enthusiasm to everything he does. But when it is nap time, the lights are completely out. He goes from party mode to total relaxation. In a home, Otter would likely be a top-tier snuggler, though he has been perfectly content lounging on his own bed here at HSOC. We are still getting to know how Otter does with other dogs. He does not seem to mind them through fences and glass, especially once he realizes they are sharing his temporary space here at HSOC. A meet and greet is required for any potential canine companions. Otter can also be cat tested upon request. What more can we say about our favorite goofy guy?
