Story
***Clover is in a foster home, so she is not at the kennel. If you are interested in her, please fill out the application at K9stray.com and we will be in touch. Thank you.*** Clover is the sweetest and what a beauty! She is estimated to be about 4 years old and weighs 49 pounds. Meet Clover, a gorgeous, loveable and affectionate girl who is sure to bring happiness and warmth to your heart and home. Clover is a true social butterfly, always looking to get love from everyone and likes leaning against you for attention. Sadly, Clover is heartworm positive, and we are looking for a family who wants to foster to adopt for her. When we saw Clover, we knew she was something special and had to bring her to our rescue. She will be starting her treatment soon and will need a quiet, low-key type of home where she can calmly recover and heal. You will not meet a happier pup, she is so connecting and attentive to you, always seeking closeness and affection. But the cutest thing she does is when you walk by her kennel, she grabs her Nylabone and stands at the front just a wagging her tail as fast as it will go with her bone in her mouth. She is quite proud and happy to show it to you! She loves to hold toys in her mouth too and always has a soft mouth release with them, she is so darn sweet! A basic manners refresher for her would be perfect as she does like to jump up for attention. Clover will need a home where any children are respectful, calm and at least 8 years old so she can have a peaceful place to recover during her treatment. Clover would love it if you came to meet her, she is truly going to make a wonderful best friend, and she really wants a family to love. If you are interested in Clover and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

These pups are in Ann Arbor, Michigan too!

Story
Meet Oliver or as we call him, Ollie! Ollie’s journey hasn’t been easy. When he was first rescued, he was nearly hairless and suffering from painful, mange ridden skin (see last photo). He had been on the euthanasia list at a municipal shelter. A volunteer and a foster fell in love with him, a rescue said yes, and hence started Ollie’s healing journey. Fast forward a few months, he is a handsome, happy, and full of life boy! Most of his fur has grown back beautifully, though he still has a bald patch around his neck and shoulders that may never fully regrow. But honestly, It just adds to his charm. His glow-up is truly something special. Ollie is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. His fosters call him their “golden child” because he’s just about perfect. Ollie is fantastic with every person he meets, including kids, and he absolutely adores other dogs. Ollie is both potty trained and kennel trained. He loves playing with other dogs, chewing on toys, going on walks, car rides, and just chilling. His foster family absolutely adores him, and watching him blossom has been nothing short of heartwarming. Ollie does need weekly baths to keep his skin healthy but they are quick and easy, and he is very cooperative. He is estimated to be around 6-7 years old and weighs about 55 lbs. If you think Ollie is your next best friend apply today: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DSTR/Dog Ollie is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, but is available in many cities around the country. The adoption fee includes the cost of transport.

Story
Sammy is a man of few words - we don't know where he came from or how old he really is... He has scars on his face and body, refuses to answer questions about the past. We just know, he's a cool dude. He enjoys sunsets and watching horses run in the neighbors yard. He enjoys being out with other chill dogs and roaming between meals. He has gained weight since being at this foster home (where he found safety) - 70 lbs at his neuter up to 98 at his last vet visit. Sammy was heartworm positive, treated and on prevention. He would enjoy a home with experience in rescues or shelter dogs, help him settle - learn routine, then relax. He has not shown strong interests in things or favorites - but likely that will change when he is given attention and in a home. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee includes fee by van transport to PNW, Midwest or NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT states by pet transport partners. Adoption Fee reflects the need for an XL crate at travel. His caregiver was upset! They took Sammy in after his owners died and had kept him safe in their barn. He had dog friends, he played with Maggie and observes the farm and other animals without being a problem. We agreed to take on his care, finish his medical needs and work on adoption. Even the older, shy, timid or less expressive dogs can be amazing family pets. Thank you for reading his bio and considering this dude. Volunteers will keep working on photos and fieldtrips to get videos!

Story
Hey my name is Kodak! I am an active dog looking for an owner willing to offer me the patience and time I need to adjust to my forever home. I can be nervous meeting new people, but once I am acquainted with you, I am quite the energizer bunny. Lots of exercise and enrichment and a routine will help me thrive, so let`s stay busy together! I would love to meet potential dog siblings before I go home, so meet me first at the shelter and then ask the staff about arranging a doggie playdate. I look forward to meeting you to show you just how great I am!
