Meet Lucy! This beautiful girl may have arrived as a stray, but she`s certainly ready to leave her wandering days behind and find a family of her very own. Lucy is a female lab mix who currently weighs 50 + pounds and is estimated to be 5 years old.Lucy is the kind of girl who makes friends wherever she goes. She`s sweet, friendly, calm, and wonderfully easygoing. With a medium energy level, Lucy isn`t looking to spend her days running a marathon. She`s much more interested in enjoying a nice walk, spending time with her people, and soaking up all the love she can get. Lucy can pull on leash, so her new family should be prepared to help her work on her leash manners. With some patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, we think she`ll be a fantastic walking buddy.One thing we really appreciate about Lucy? She`s a pretty quiet girl. She keeps her kennel clean at the shelter and isn`t much of a barker. In fact, most of the time, Lucy is perfectly content to quietly hang out and enjoy the day.What Lucy really wants is pretty simple: a loving family, a comfy place to call home, and someone who will take her on daily walks. She`d love to be your companion for those morning strolls, evening adventures, or leisurely walks around the neighborhood. And after the walk? We have a feeling Lucy would be perfectly happy relaxing by your side.Lucy was found as a stray and sadly, no one came to claim her. Now she`s hoping someone will see what a wonderful girl she is and decide that she belongs in their family forever.Lucy is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which means you can welcome her into your home while she completes her veterinary care, including, vaccines, microchip, and heartworm testing. She is already spayed. To add this beautiful girl to your family, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and complete an online dog adoption application. Lucy`s adoption fee is $160.Lucy may have started out as a stray, but she`s ready to become someone`s beloved best friend.
