Story
🐾 Looking for a Loving, Active Home 🐾This sweet 7-month-old Lab/Heeler mix is full of energy and personality! He absolutely loves kids and gets along great with other dogs. He’s still learning about cats and tends to chase them, so a cat-free home (or someone willing to train him) would be best.He thrives on activity running, playing, and chasing a tennis ball are his favorite things. He’s a smart, high-energy pup who would do best with someone experienced in dog training and ready to give him the time, structure, and exercise he needs.Unfortunately, my home and schedule just aren’t the right fit for his needs, and I want to make sure he gets the life he deserves. If you’re active, patient, and looking for a fun, loyal companion, he could be perfect for you ❤️Please message me for more details or to meet him!

Story
Meet Zoey Grace. At just 1 year old and weighing 56 pounds, Zoey Grace is a happy, bright-eyed lab/mountain cur mix who’s ready to bring fun, love, and a little bit of goofiness into your life. This wonderful girl came to us when her previous owner lost their housing, and while that’s a sad turn of events, it’s clear Zoey Grace was well cared for and loved. Now she’s looking for her fresh start—and maybe her new best friend (hint: it could be you).Zoey Grace has a nice medium energy level—she’s always up for an adventure like a walk or a car ride, but she also knows how to settle in and relax. She’s crate trained, housetrained, and will even use pee pads if needed (talk about a well-mannered lady). She keeps her kennel nice and tidy at the shelter too. She is very strong on leash and will need a strong handler. She’s a smart cookie and already knows commands like “sit,” “paw,” “stay,” “take it,” and “outside.” With a brain like that, she’ll love learning even more with her new family.Zoey Grace has lived with cats and done well, though she may occasionally invite them to a game of chase (purely playful, of course!). She’s also great with older kids (10+), making her a fun and gentle companion for a family. She’s reported to be good with other dogs, but if you have a resident pup, a meet-and-greet is required to make sure it’s a perfect match. She can be a little shy at first—but don’t let that fool you. Take her for a walk, and you’ll quickly unlock her true personality: your loyal, tail-wagging BFF. Zoey Grace loves toys, enjoys exploring the world on walks, and is always ready to hop in the car for her next outing. She’s the perfect mix of playful and sweet, with just enough curiosity to keep life interesting. She is available through our foster-to-adopt program, which means you can welcome her into your home while she completes her vetting with the shelter vet. This includes vaccines, heartworm testing, and a microchip—everything she needs to start her next chapter healthy and happy. She is already spayed. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this very loveable companion, please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and submit an online adoption application for Zoey Grace. Her adoption fee is $160. If you’re ready for a smart, loving, and slightly goofy sidekick, Zoey Grace is ready to meet you

Story
Meet Mia & Dover — double the love, double the fun!Mia is a 4-year-old black and tan hound who weighs ___ pounds and brings big personality wherever she goes. She’s got that classic hound spirit: nose to the ground, tail in the air, and plenty to say about the adventure. Mia is energetic, strong on leash, and always ready for action—whether it’s a long sniff-filled walk or a lively game of fetch. She absolutely thrives on attention and will happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give. Social, playful, and full of life, Mia is the kind of dog who keeps every day interesting.Dover, her loyal sidekick, is a 9-year-old chocolate lab weighing 76 pounds. He’s the calm to Mia’s sparkle, bringing a laid-back, easygoing vibe to the pair. Dover enjoys his walks and may pull a bit here and there, but overall he’s a pleasant companion who just wants to be by your side. With a touch of gray on his muzzle and a heart full of sweetness, he’s proof that “young at heart” is a real thing. These two have shared a life together and are looking for a home where they can stay side by side. Mia brings the energy, Dover brings the chill, and together they make a perfectly balanced duo. They play together well and chase each other. While finding a home for a bonded pair can be a challenge, we know there’s a special family out there ready to open their hearts to both.Mia and Dover would do best with older children, and a meet-and-greet is required for any resident dogs. Their compatibility with cats is currently unknown. They are available through our foster-to-adopt program, meaning they can start settling into your home while finishing up their vetting. This includes updated vaccines, a microchip, heartworm testing, and neuter—Dover will still need to be neutered. If you’re ready to welcome twice the love, twice the companionship, and twice the tail wags into your life, Mia and Dover are ready to meet you. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org to schedule an appointment and complete an online dog adoptoin application. Their adoption fee together is $200.All they’re dreaming of is a forever home where they can stay together and live their very best lives—could that be with you?
