Story
RESCUE STORY Boris had a rough start. He was born on the streets and learned to survive. His days were filled with scavenging for food, avoiding larger dogs, and seeking shelter in hidden corners. Despite the hardships, Boris possessed a gentle spirit and a pair of soulful eyes that spoke of resilience. He used to live on a university campus and was a community dog. However, this did not take long and university management started to collect all dogs and wanted to put a municipal shelter which is simply a death sentence for a dog. The volunteers didn’t let this happen and placed him in a boarding facility in Turkey. Character Boris is known for his friendly and outgoing nature. He forms strong bonds with his peeps and is often eager to please. With his glossy coat and playful demeanour, Boris will become a beloved member of your family, capture the hearts of everyone in your home. This social butterfly thrives on human interaction and is always eager to make new friends. His warm, expressive eyes reflect his affectionate nature, and his tail wags enthusiastically at the sight of anyone willing to give him attention. He is highly food-motivated. This can be an advantage in training. He can be influenced by the other dogs’ temperament so he could be a good companion to a calm dog with a proper introduction. Despite his friendly nature, Boris harbours a peculiar aversion to men wearing hats. It's a mystery to everyone, as he reacts with a mix of curiosity and caution whenever he encounters someone sporting a hat. In addition, he may exhibit a sense of loyalty that makes him watchful over their loved ones. Even though he is a medium-energy dog, he is playful and entertaining. He loves to play, run, and engage in various activities. Regular exercise is essential to keep him happy. We don’t know how he is around kids and cats. If you plan to adopt a dog for the first time or you are not an experienced dog owner, you should consider working with a trainer as Boris stays in a boarding house for a long time and forgot city life already. He’s social with people but still needs encouragement for city life. Boris can fly to Toronto or Vancouver when he finds his forever home! Story
Hello! My name is Snickerdoodle!I am a sweet, friendly and very playful little girly. I am a very energetic puppy. Given my high energy needs, I am looking for a home that has previous puppy experience and ideally experience with high-energy dogs. My GHS friends are not sure of my mix but think it is boxer/bulldog. I am very excited to move into my new home and keep the ball rolling with my socialization. It is very important that I join a family that has the time and patience to dedicate to my socialization and training, and who can handle my exuberance. To become a well-rounded, socialized adult, it's important I have frequent and positive interactions with new people, children, other dogs, visits to the vet clinic and other unfamiliar environments (like friends' homes and pet stores). It's also important I continue to get practice with handling and grooming so I continue to be comfortable when I am older and go for vet visits, get nail trims and receive brushing and grooming. *If you apply to adopt me, please have a certified positive-reinforcement trainer in mind to sign up for puppy socialization classes, as this will be required prior to adoption. If you are interested in adopting me, please click the "Adopt Me" button to complete an application.

Story
Hello! Our names are Orca, Mako, Meg, Coral, Otter, Beluga and Oyster! We are seven mixed breed puppies! Our mom is a medium-sized golden retriever mix. We seem to have a black lab appearance. We do not know what our dad looks like. Our GHS friends think we will be medium-large breed dogs once fully grown. We are very excited to move into our new homes and keep the ball rolling with our socialization. It is very important that we join families that have the time and patience to dedicate to our socialization and training, and who can handle our energy and excitement. To become a well-rounded, socialized adult, it's important we have frequent and positive interactions with new people, children, other dogs, visits to the vet clinic and other unfamiliar environments (like friends' homes and pet stores). It's also important we continue to get practice with handling and grooming so we continue to be comfortable when we are older and go for vet visits, get nail trims and receive brushing and grooming. ***If you apply to adopt one of us, please have a certified positive-reinforcement trainer in mind to sign up for puppy socialization classes, as this will be required prior to adoption.***If you are interested in adopting one of us, please click the "Adopt Me" button to complete an application.A bit more information about us:-6 females; 1 male-5 short, smooth fur; 1 smooth and wire fur; 1 mostly wire fur
